I only wish i was around in Jock's time.
Jock Wallace really was "old school" He commanded great respect from his players ,,,er maybe even fear, but at the same time he was fiecely protective of them,
a hard but fair man with whom there were no gray areas,
I only met Jock once, and that at a christmas party,The man had such a presence, and completely sobering affect on the room,
A great character with many qualities, unlike some before and many afterwards
My brother was friendly with Jock's son when they lived in Oadby. Said he was completely scary but a really nice bloke underneath that granite exterior.
Good days . A real legend

What a great clip – poor devils! – thanks spherical.
When I was a young thing, I ran schools cross country for the county (no big deal, we weren't very good apart from one or two guys). We used to do hill sessions in Bradgate Park, but never up anything as steep or loose as that!
