Yeah he would.

Interestingly, with all the talk of Reus going in the summer, I think Draxler could be a signing that may go under the radar for one of the prem clubs.

Shalke are struggling this season as well so may be forced to sell if a big offer comes in for him.

Didnt Goetze say a few months ago he wanted to play for utd?

Reus works hard for the team, he’s not a Willian but he offers a similar level of attacking flair to Hazard with a similar work rate and defence competence of Schurrle. In terms of a straight swap in the squad with Shurrle he brings and awful lot to the party without giving too much away.

He is very similar to Hazard in the way he operates, predominantly a left sided attacker but comfortable through the middle or down the right too. Not to jump the gun but if we did land him I’d be interested to see how the manager would line them up, given how well drilled we are on the counter with Hazard on the left I suspect Reus would operate on the right as most assume, it isn’t a given though. In fact I think we could even see a return to the Duff / Robben flanks switches during games which can be so off putting for defenders.

Reus would be the type of signing that would allow us to realistically compete against the Reals and Bayerns of this world.

I dunno about that. As part of a couple of different targets absolutely but not on his own.

Well his signing would be a major step in the right direction.

Reus went from categorically saying never about Bayern to slightly softening to kind of saying we will see what happens

Real would probably sell Isco to City.

Reus won't go to Madrid, They simply don't need him, He also only commands a fee of £19.7m. Not sure Real go for a player that cheap. He will probably go to one of Bayern, Chelsea or Utd.

If we signed Reus in January if be surprised as he's cup tied for the champs league, however, I'd be buzzing

It's the League we are after, Champions league is a bonus.

Real won't sell Isco, he's been one of their best performers. That said they do like a shinny new thing.....

posted on 13/11/14

Yeah and they'd play them all in the same team.

Let's be honest Reus would obviously rather go to Chelsea than United, You can say what you want about Uniteds history and what not the fact of the matter
Is we are a bigger attraction right now, At the pinnacle of the PL, Probably just behind Barca in terms of chances of winning the CL and looking most likely to pick up a domestic cup or 2.

Reus is a childhood barca fan.....

He is a Dortmund fan! He was born in Dortmund too. Recently I've heard he supported Utd, Real and Barca as a boy... What a plastic

At the minute Chelsea are a more attractive proposition, I agree.

But Real and Bayern are still the more likely destinations I reckon.

posted on 13/11/14

Bayern yes I agree, don't think real need him at all like who would they drop?

You're making the mistake of thinking that Real's transfer business is logical and that they're scared of dropping big name players.

He's hot property in European football. That automatically puts Real into the picture.

Dortmund are really annoyed with Bayern, they are extremely unhappy with Bayern leaking the details of the release clause and have been saying that Bayern will regret this....

Madrid have actually done some very good business in the past couple of seasons selling on players they'd bought cheap.
