On the wider topic - I have lived in a great many countries and I do not believe widespread multiculturalism is either workable or desirable. A nation is more confident, stronger and more coherent when the majority of it's population basically share the same basic fundamental values.

If you are talking about multiracialism, that is something completely different. This is probably the least racist country I have lived in (including non-white majority nations) and that is a good thing. There is also more tolerance for religious minorities in this country than most others. Once again, that is overall a good thing.

Oh, you're commitment to 'freedom of movement' is delusional though. I know parts of this country where local services are on the verge of collapse because of unsustainable local population increases.

What you are actually talking about is domestic servitude and forced labour. I draw your attention to the thousands of migrant slaves who will die building Qatar's joke world cup. It should be an international humanitarian scandal but is not for some reason.

With the exception of India, I think the Gulf States might be the most racist nations in the world.

What do you think happens in UK? Migrant workers are taken on the cheap and made to work long hours below the minimum wage.
