Had Ireland to win 2 nil, but now as its virtually our B team playing ill go with nil nil
BB nil all will do mate, any draw away against one of our rivals has to be seen as a good reult.
Tight and feisty.
2-0 Scotland.
2-1 Scotland
Scotland and both teams to score at 5/1 get on
McCarthy is a big loss for us. I would take a draw now and beat them at home in the return match. I hope O'Neill goes for it though and doesn't do a Trap and sit back and defend.
"Tight and feisty"
ath, my kinda lady
Sadly I used to get loose and almost passed oot
Red, thought 6 points were up for grabs against the Scots. Will now settle for 4. I dont get the Scots optimism, setting themselves up for a fall
As for the match, I think it is honestly to toughto call but with McCarthy and I think Whelan oot we could nick it 1-0 or 2-1 but I am a jink with fitba predictions
So I will say 4-0 Irish
Piffle been there mate.
Ath do tou think a defeat for Scotland would make it very difficult to make the top 3?
Rover, I agree he should go for it. We've nothing to fear
As a neutral (Northern Ireland fan) I think Scotland really need to win. They're at home and are already playing catch up a bit after Ireland's superb point in Germany. A draw would be a great result for Ireland on paper but with the Germans and Polish also in that group, it's hard to say whether it would be a "good point" just now
red, absolutley, we lose this and we will need favours
The crowd will have a huge part tonight.
I expect it to be as noisy as hell.
An old cliche I know but 1st goal is crucial. Scotland get it and the crowd will be going mental.
We get it and the natives could get restless and get on the players backs.
Wilson is a big loss too, piff. Left with a CB pairing that have never played together

Piffle thanks for the honesty re Scotlands chances.
I actually think an Ireland win coupled with a Poland win agaist Gergia would make your task nigh on impossible.
BB, WIld Rover I agree lads go for it tonight. Maybe if its level at 75 minute mark take the point but by all means go out and try and win the game.

Ha well I'm wearing my neautral hat for this discussion
No I don't really mind. Would have loved to have watche dthe game though. Pity it's scheduled at the same time as our own match, but I'm not even going to be able to see that as I'm at Jimmy Carr tonight
We need to win
Anything other than a win and I will be disappointed
Poland and Ireland getting points off Germany while we didnt has put us in a situation where taking draws against Poland and Ireland means we will either need to take points off Germany ourselves, or hope Georgia or Gibraltar take points of Poland and Ireland to help our push for a playoff place at best.
Top two in the group qualify
Third place gets itno playoffs
Draws wont put us third at this rate
I know the rankings are a bit of a farce, but we are currently placed 37th in the world....Ireland are away down in 61st right now.
Anything other than a win will hit the rankings also
We need to win
I know its live on Irish television merry dont know about UK. I would imagine Sky Sports are showing it.
Hoping mcgeady plays central just off the CF.
Pointy
Aye red, very difficult if we lose., still plenty games left tho. ,OK.
Stevie I still maintain ze Germans will win the group and I actually fancy them to win all their remaining games mate.
Its a straight 2 from 3 for the other 2 spots.
If we are going to have 1 of them we will need to do it early as our last 2 games are Germany at home and Poland away
Sky will definitely have the match. If it's not on either of their main channels it will be available through the red button on SS5.
