DREAM ON YIIDS
I just find it hilarious Spam thought it was done and dusted. What the odds they are forced to give it Orient?!
I just looked at Tomkins profile...
"Team/Sport WEST HAM"
I just thought that war really funny!!
All we're doing is unnecessarily dragging this out! We won't win anyway!
Let it go Levy!
Work on getting our NEW STADIUM up and running
Arghhhhh why?!?! We don't even want it
This was jointly with Leyton, Spurs couldn't pull out without jeapordising the O's appeal, which is fair enough as they will suffer the most when west ham start selling 25k tickets at a £1 each

Hope the O's get it or force the authorities to come to their senses, as we seem to be very close to getting Boris on board for the NDP our part in this whole sorry mess appears to be coming to an end, however as we have good links with Orient I hope we continue to support them.
We know what its like to have someone uninvited turn up on our patch.
NEVER AGAIN!

Barry Hearn is right in asserting that the silence of both the PL & the FL has been appalling.
Both leagues have strict rules preventing other Club's moving within a certain distance of another Club.
Just on this point alone, WH should not get the OS....................................and neither should Spurs.
If UK Athletics want it, then let them have it & the associated costs. I'll bet they wouldn't be that keen on the Legacy then!!
All we're doing is unnecessarily dragging this out! We won't win anyway!

Come on people, see the big picture:
1. Whether we wanted it or not the decision process was not fair. We cannot stand back and let that happen. At the very least we should be able to recover the costs of our bid (if successful at JR)
2. This is an embarrassing mess for the OPLC, the Govt, Boris. It makes the UK look bad on a global scale....combined with the riots, this will only strengthen our case for financial support in regenerating N17 with the NDP being the catalyst for that. THFC can make all this mess go away, with a bit of financial support for our regerneration & stadium proposals....something in the region of £40m would do it....the same as in debt WHU have managed to scrounge from in debt Newham Council.
Levy doesnt really want the OS. He wants leverage to get some of the lovely lolly that Boris has now said will be forthcoming in order to rebuild Tottenhams tattered rep and the high street.
Winning the right to appeal will make everyone nervous- Boris cos he encouraged us to bid in the 1st place - ( hes up for re-election next year so he will be more than happy to add a THFC 'top up premium' in order not to make too many enemies), Wham cos their Newham funding will now be investigated thoroughly and the OPLC for being twonks and falling for the G,S&B's spiel in the 1st place.
When Boris ( and Haringey) coughs up, Levy will graciously agree to back off. Job done.
Darth Levy has denied Darth RDBDs' request to have RRP embedded in the deep foundations of new stadium.
His reason is that RRP is so fickle and lightweight that tis better not to compromise 5'5" of concrete with him. He also reasoned that there is enough gas coming from him already alone, yet alone after the death decay process begins.
Darth RDBD still has much to learn from Darth Levy ...
If UK Athletics want it, then let them have it & the associated costs. I'll bet they wouldn't be that keen on the Legacy then!!

Exactly greavesie! All the pompous statements made by Lord Coe about legacy really wound me up
Firstly they scoffed at the prospect of a football club taking tenancy and pressed ahead with an athletics only stadium, then they came crawling to THFC & WHU so they could piggy back on a football clubs finances to keep the OS as their home , then they bitched about Spurs plan to redevelop the home of athletics at Crystal palace and all along the original legacy plan was to demolish the stadium to a much smaller 25K seater with two small cover stands....something that would look nothing like the "iconic OS".
UK Athletics want their cake and they want to bloody eat it and they want someone else to pay for it. They made the Spurs bid a hugely emotive issue with all their statements, no doubt influencing decision makers and politicians a like when they had no right to do so! They should be grateful for whatever they get because they have no money and have paid £0 towards the stadium.
Its all about money and not location.
If it was an absolute no no for the track to go then we should not have been invited or induced into making a bid.
However, the criteria stated that an alternative proposal for track (i.e Crystal Palace) would be acceptable.
Then when it came for the bid to be decided everyone made out that there was only one choice because West Ham were keeping the track.
So was this criteria a load of bull just to encourage us to bid making the whole process respectable and competitve and not a one horse race? This is basically our case for compensation.
Boris was also heavily involved and so Levy now has the OPLC and Mayor Office right where he needs them.
Indeed Hod Idol.
Also, the criteria were weighted at the initial bidding stage, so that Value to the Tax Payer was more important than, for example, the quick return of the stadium to use BUT at the decision making stage all criteria were considered equal.
firstly, how can the weighting change through the process.
secondly, in the example I gave, how can the speed of return of the stadium to use possibly be deemed of equal importance to return to the tax payer?
WHU bid takes the £35m public money available for conversion, a further £40m in a loan from Newham and a similar amount from the sale of Bolyen to pay for its conversion to provide them with a permanent home and UK athletics with occassional use.
Spurs proposal took that same £35m public money and spent it on a permanent home for UK athletics at the existing home in Crystal Palace and the rest is private investment. No risk. No shared stadium which fails to meet the needs of either football or athletics, just a sustainable and rational use of existing resources based on a sound business plan.
What smacks about wrong doing the most on all this is the OPLC voted 14-0 in favour of WHU stating that their bid was superior when judged on all criteria.....utter b o l l o c k s !
Devonshirespur...........Spot on, my understanding was that financials; which covers the bidders financial probity, viability, debt & ongoing management, local job creation etc made up at least 60% of the weighting, the track issue carried around 10 % with presentation & other issues carrying the final 30%.
These other issues normally cover suitability of bidders in terms of background, sustainable investment and their previous track record in successful ventures of a similar nature.
One key point seems to have been overlooked and that is West Ham's £104m current debt, which has mostly got to be settled within the coming 36 months.
How does an ailing football club with debts of £104m and struggling to fill their current ground, get a loan of £40m from a local authority (one of the poorest LA's in the country at that) at preferential rates????
Has no one also asked how on earth West Ham are going to fill te OS. When they struggle to fill a ground nearly half the capacity of the OS even when selling tickets at a £1...................
Mind you, according to myhammers it is just a simple case of economics, reduce ticket prices to £10-15 and the fans will flood in.......................................he doesn't say where from & I cannot for the life of me understand how another 30,000 fans are going to materialise from, especially to see a struggling club.
