Thanks Hound. Just taking the Peter!
Two and a half minutes to write?
PD forecast that it was going to be "Tough" at W-S-M. Will he find a suitable superlative to describe what we face at Rochdale? Of course he was exaggerating deliberately. But this really will be tough.
Will they be up to it? I thought that they played more confidently on Tuesday than I have seen for months. You could compare it with Chelsea vs Shrewsbury which was a real MATCH with the League 2 side giving the best in the country a real test. Rovers could have played safe, yet, judged by the highlights, considering the club’s current state of nerves, they put on a surprising dynamic performance. Whether the togetherness came from within the team or from the management I do not know, but it was good to see.
So, if they can take that enthusiasm and spirit into the game on Saturday, they will give Rochdale a good contest. I cannot be around on Saturday, but I think if we commit like we did at W-S-M we could come away with a point, possibly even three.
I'm going for 1-1 - Main 4600 for DPL please.
Reading back what I have written, it may seem that I thought W-S-M did give us a match. What I meant was that the comparison was relevant in terms of relative status, but unlike Shrewsbury it was totally one-sided.
Can someone contact donaldo and let him know that it looks as though someone has hacked into his 606 account.
I think it could have been a blow to the head from a golf ball
Listening to Dickov on the radio this morning, he believes we have a realistic chance of getting in the playoffs. Think he must be reading the table upside down!
We had a reasonable chance of staying in the championship, with 8 matches left as well!
Spotland not the happiest of hunting grounds in past as I remember.do remember Dave penny's fav player brighty. scoring late on followed by the usual over excited Timmi Ryan celebration!and Brenner having to be restrained by warboys as he want over to confront a referee
Morning everyone, I don't want to steal the thread, but I thought you may be interested. As you know this week leads up to Thanksgiving over here, something I normally do nort celebrate.
However, this year I do. Yesterday I went to see my specialist and he told me that my latest tests have shown that I am clear of the cancer I was diagnosed with last year.
Hopefully you will have to put up with me for some time to come.
On the subject of Spotland, it has always been a favourite ground of mine from my days with several Rugby League clubs. The late Rochdale Hornets Chairman was, for a Lancastrian, one of the nicest people and friends.
Even google translate can't help!
