Time for us to put some distance between the rest. We are high on confidence from our miracle result against aberdeen. Time to kick on.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila: "That was a game [1-1 draw in August] I was not very happy with, we played very poorly and we have something to avenge. Hopefully we will show ourselves in a totally other [way] in the game tomorrow and get the three points.

"We have been on a good roll. We are in a good situation so we need to keep focusing on the next game, the next training session, and get the performance as high as possible. We know we have the skills to win games."

Celtic welcome Kris Commons back from injury for the visit of Dundee on Saturday.

Full-back Mikael Lustig misses out, however, and could be sidelined for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Dundee defender Paul McGinn is doubtful with a back injury while winger Martin Boyle is likely to miss out with flu.

Striker Craig Wighton (ankle) is a doubt but midfielder Simon Ferry and forward Luka Tankulic both return to the squad.

Celtic beat Aberdeen 2-1 last time out in the league, and they will be keen to see off Dundee after drawing 1-1 with the Dens Park men in August.

CELTIC’S late win over Aberdeen two weeks ago stirred up lots of raw emotion and passion in Ronny Deila and his players – but did it send out the right message to their rivals?

Should beating another Scottish team – other than Rangers when they get back to the top flight and are challenging – really have the Hoops celebrating as if they’d won the Champions League?

Deila seemed to be letting off steam which was understandable after a tough start in the Celtic hotseat. However, he may have been better off saying he was “over the moon” rather than confusing the club’s younger fans with comparisons that many of their parents may find awkward to explain!

I can forgive him to some extent, at least he showed he cares. But I do feel it was all a bit over the top.

While I can’t criticise him for getting caught up in the moment after some of my past quotes, I do feel Leigh Griffiths and John Guidetti dancing around the way they did was a total over-reaction.

Even though Celtic won with 10 men and a dramatic last-gasp goal, it wasn’t a cup semi-final or final, a league decider, or qualification through to the Europa League knockout stage.

A fist pump, a show of appreciation to the support and back into the dressing room to back-slapping, cuddles and congratulations, if that’s what floats your boat, was all that was needed.

I just hope that celebration doesn’t show where many Celtic players feel their level is at.

There was bad feeling between the teams due to the Shay Logan-Aleksandar Tonev incident but the Celtic players shouldn’t get overexcited about beating Aberdeen away from home.

It reminded me of when the Dons beat us under Martin O’Neill after we had been on an exceptional run. The Aberdeen players got on their hands and knees and did a conga-like walk. It was a sore one for us all right but good motivation in the long run.

For them, it was exciting as it very rarely happened so that was understandable – but even then it told us they were weak and that was as good as it would get for them.

For Celtic to react how they did may speak volumes as to how low the players have set the bar for themselves and actually gives the Aberdeen team credibility. In the circumstances, the last thing I would have done was show publicly I was excited about winning an SPFL game against a team I’d expect to beat.

Timmy....I agree with a lot of that except for the comparison with aberdeen at Parkhead. Ours was a spontaneous celebration. They had planned theirs on the training ground for weeks just in case.

It was a great turning point in our season. The players had every right to celebrate the way they did. To me it showed the players cared.

Sutton keeps comparing the team to when he played but football has changed so much since then. Back then we would be in the top 4 of the premiership, not now. Yes our standards have dipped but that is just reality setting in.
