I'm sure Pearce will know how to play him effectively!
He'll be another one who goes to another Club, gets played in the right position and starts banging them in!
they're playing a friendly against Israel at Oakwell.
£10 to get in!
Marvellous isnt it ???
Oakwell...
5th September, England v Israel U-21's .............£10
10th September, Barnsley v Leicester City...........£30
17th September Barnsley v Watford ...................£16
SORT IT OUT BARNSLEY FC
you are right - supply and demand dictates so the England game should be about 5 pounds and the Leicester game about 30 -35 pounds. If you want cheaper prices support a smaller club like Forest or Coventry.
doesn't this suggest something to us then?
Look at how many other championship clubs have an england und 21 in their team.
why aren't we keeping him to bring on for the future, he's 21, not even starting to reach the top of his career yet.
its alright saying he's rubbish and useless now, but I can almost guarantee he wont be in a few years time
I think it says we aren't bringing through enough young, english strikers in this country.
Irrelevant of how much potential Waghorn has, for one of the best u21s in Europe, a striker who has scored 4 goals in the last year or so, should not be getting in the squad.
Completely agree Keep_The_Faith1.
I don't really care how good he will be in 5 years time.
He's not good enough to play for us now. He wants to play regular football. So either we play him in the hope he might come good in 5 years, or we let him go, and play someone good enough now.
Please be aware there is also a chance that he's not going to realise his potential at all.
I can see most peoples argument with waghorn, and can understand why people have had enough. however he scored around 13 goals in half a season with us originally, thats 26 goals (per average) a season, that can't just disappear into thin air!
I know all the waggy-supporters say this but he has never had a chance playing in his 13-goal position and the times he has have been a brief 10 mins.
Maybe I'm just a very patient person!
I've wanted Waghorn to do well for us for some time now, but my problem with him is that whenever he's on the pitch he doesn't even look like doing well. There are no glimpses of anything that suggests he's going to be a good player - the only reason we know he's not a complete dud is because of his time here under Pearson, and a completely different brand of football.
With sadness, I really feel it's time he moved on - for his own sake as much as ours.
About half-an-hour ago, BBC Radio Humberside reported that Nigel Pearson is looking to bring him to Hull.
