The irony of that game for me is that Carroll scores but has a shocker of a game, yet he has been quite good in our other 2 games but doesn't score.
Anyway good to see him get a goal.
Oh yeah, almost forgot.......... How GOOD is Suarez. Easily the best player tonight.
Anfield In Wonderland by Luis-Carroll
I see what your saying, after Suarez went off we lost our shape a bit and as Agger said above we really let the tempo drop for last 20, Carroll became a bit isolated and was only really getting long balls to him, but keeps the momentum going into the weekend. We need a win v Bolton tough few games after that Stoke and Spurs away the derby and united.
Carroll bemuses me, he obviously has talent but looks totally disinterested compared to the others. Nice goal but he looks too static for me.
Marks out of ten.......4, mainly for the goal. Hendo looks short of confidence to me aswell.
Reina is never close to saving a penalty for us. Since the CL pen s/out, I don't recall him saving one. Defoe put it wide last season. He is either taking the wrong way or to too late making a move.

It was belted straight down the middle. Doubt he stood a chance seeing as keepers are either going to go one way left or right. Can't put him at fault there.
It was not a penalty. But Skrtel should have been more carful. The ref was always going to give them something. That was their first attack in the match.
Let's just hope Agger stays fit. If not then Skrtel is going give me a heart attack.
I was pleased with Downing when he came on, he has raised his game since he arrived at Liverpool, I can't really say the same for Charlie Adam, what about his set pieces? where are they?
Good we got the job done though and there were no alarms.

hendo made all the set pieces.
Keep the faith...
some keepers are that good they can save it with their legs when it's in the middle. Reina is one of the best keepers in the PL but when it comes to penalties he is far behind many keepers. Arsenal keeper saved his team tonight with an excellent pen save.
Kop 101 your right why was Hendo taking corners on the right! I do wonder if Adam is struggling with the extra pressure at Liverpool like he did at Rangers.

The strange thing is Reina had a great record saving penalties when he played in Spain.

True. I just don't know what happend to him. He came to us with him known as good at saving penalties. He did okay in his first season with that pen s/out against Chelsea but since then I think he only made one save out of more than 20.
Hendo crossing is good. He is also quick. He needs some confidence. I think Kenny knows that and he is trying to help him by playing him a head of Kuyt.
Hendo crossing is good.

No it wasn't. He didn't find a black shirt once.
I find that pepe always goes the right way to save penalties, but they always seem to go underneath him
