Me either mon, tbh matic has been quite poor last couple of games so it as kind of a preview to how much we miss him when hes not there, as he was off his game.

mikel was slower than slow at the best of times let alone without much game time recently but he has been there, done that, and a draw for me would be a good result.

All mikel needs to do is move the ball quickly on to fabregas and plug any gaps(which he is terrible at) for an invevitable newcastle break throughout the game.

Seems you lot do this in purpose, "Oh I'm not confident about this one", then you end up winning comfortably and barely break a sweat.....

Pardew has them back on track but they're still very fragile, you'll steamroller them.

Think Fabregas will struggle today. Newcastle have quite a lot of powerful players.

The pessimist is never disappointed, Yohan

Traditionally, we don't travel well in the North East and I think we've lost our last two games at St James' Park.
IIRC, we were tipped to win those quite comfortably too.

Not saying we will lose but I am expecting a tough game.

Hate this attitude so much. What fun is football if you're crying about losing before the game's even kicked off?

It was meant tongue in cheek, Torres.

wow torres, take a chill pill
I think chelsea should win most games, but with the pressure of this record which the media has done some digging and brought up every interview, our record in the North East, Newcastles resurgence and us struggling against sunderland its not a gimme by any account

Nah, bussieness as usual and I reckon Mikel with have a decent game.

No, it really does get me. We're having such a great season, we should be enjoying it! Not spending the whole time worrying. We should have faith in the team.

Torres feeling like a mug now?
Me and OP got it spot on

posted on 6/12/14

Yes, I feel like a mug for feeling confident about our team

Not so much that, just for throwing a hissy fit for someone showing caution and what turns out to be spot on assumptions.

Today was always going to happen. Egg on your face here.

I just didn't feel like there was any reason to be negative given what we'd achieved this season up to this point. Had we been on a big losing streak, then I could understand, but we were 6 points clear at the top of the league. We had reason to be confident, not cautious.

Mate,
I dont know how long you been watching chelsea but you grow to expect these results. Regardless of where in the league we were.
Regardless of that, we have thrown away points away at city and utd(city with 10 men, and one of the worst functioning utd sides I have seen)
Struggled to break down shalke, maribor and most recently sunderland this year and we are not this world beating side the media has made some believe.

Hell, even against Spurs if kane scored in the early minutes that would of been an entirely different game.
We are only a third into the league. This result was always coming.

I wasn't expecting to lose today, I thought we'd win. The draw last weekend against Sunderland was an off day in what has been an excellent PL campaign thus far (Late equalisers vs Utd and City are frustrating but not poor results). I didn't think we'd have another off day today. But it happened. And I can accept that. But I'm not gonna apologise for thinking we'd win today.

If you don't think that being 1 nil up and drawing to a 10 men city side when we kept giving the ball away and the utd result are not bad results then I don't expect you to believe we will be champions. Those a terrible results for champions. Good results for a top 4 chasing side.
