Worse position, There's nothing like points on the board, If City manage to overtake us it'll be hard to claw the lead back mentally after being so far ahead. 8 points clear a week ago, Now 3.
Will they overtake us though without Aguero (and Silva and Kompany)?
It's hard to tell, Jose needs to gives the lads a rest, Maybe rotate Luis with Azp/Ivan(Azp going to RB) and maybe even give Zouma a run out against Hull, He impressed me against Spurs. It's important we beat hull now because if we don't it's definitely trouble.
Agree, hull is an absolute must win.
There is absolutely nothing between City and Chelsea and expect both teams to be close to each other for rest of the season. Last season City coped well when Aguero was injured and they will have to do the same again if he is out for a long time.
Yes they will overtake us. City will pull on with their we'll score more than you attitude cos they can defend at times aswell. Lampard seems to be able to rescue them also when they need him to with a key pass or a goal. The no defending responsibility given to Lampard seems to rejuvenated him.
They are a battering ram which is getting polished now.
City have on paper 4 reaaly easy games now, so we really need to win our next 4.
I read City won 2 out of 5 when Aguero got injured after 12 straight wins or something.
Can really see City over taking us, I think Jose will start spouting his usual nonsense when things don't go his way. I really hope Costa gets a goal against Hull, He already looks like he needs one.
I'll be a lot more confident if Aguero is out for a few months. Aguero out and Yaya off to ACON, they should really struggle I think over that period. Although if we get a couple of big injuries, we are screwed.
Our aim should be around 88 points this season. If we get that and City still beat us, then fair play to them. We can't control how good they are.
Probably do you good to lose from the point of view there isn't anything to protect now. Arsenal drew 12 games when they went unbeaten, 5 of the draws came in the last 9 games as they became so defensive so to not lose the record.
Talk of Chelsea being unbeaten so early in the season could have meant you guys playing more defensively, thus settling for a draw when you'd ordinarily go for a win.
Barf
Not happy about losing any game but I'm glad that monkey's off our back that the media have hyped up!
We will need 90 points I reckon
If we get 90 points and City still beat us, the amount of whinging that will go on here will be unbearable! People need to realise, we can have a great PL season, and still lose the title to City.
If we get 90 points I'm pretty sure we'll win the league.

I don't remember any other team being hyped up as much as us over our unbeaten run.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been saying all season that whilst we are much improved on last season, we are far from the perfect team being portrayed in the media. Pardew saying that Newcastle beat the bestvteam in Europe today ffs....Just by what criteria have we earnt that tag?

I don't know how you can bottle the title if you get between 88-90 points in the league. By that I mean a great season.
It's settled then is it, Chelsea or City for the title?
Newcastle and Sunderland have shown we can be stopped. No width again yesterday, Jose not learnt from last weeks draw vs Sunderland. We play in the middle far far too much and are obvious
I think Chelsea have blown any chance they had after yesterday.
