Red Card, mental soccer game where you could kick the crap out of the opposition.

There was Rage Racer, loved that game. There was this other one can't seem to find it, but basically it was like the screen panned and you had to dodge these stuff. That's all I can recall Very vague description
tell me some other gamesdawgs
Crash Bandicoot was the ticket.
Syphon Filter, good shout for driver and hogs of war. Actua Football, was prob my fav football game at the time. Although was mainstream on the PC command and conquer on the PlayStation was amazing.
Exhumed, Disruptor and Lifeforce Tenka were all great first-person shoot-em-ups on the PS1.
I also loved the original Dynasty Warriors game, and Tenchu.
The two warhammer games
Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat
Warhammer: Dark Omen
were good, the second in particular was very enjoyable
I love Syphon Filter 2 and the huge twist. On the topic of 'Making your own....' like in Driver, V Rally 2 was pretty cool as you could design your own circuits and it was really straightforward too. It wasn't as good a game as Colin McRae was though. They were quite mainstream but you know they'd still be good to play on today.
I third syphon filter 2
Also medieval was fantastic along with toca racing, theme hospital and premier manager

MGS is one of my favourite games of all time.
Tried to play it again last year on an old PS1 from my mums garage, and forgot just how horrific the graphics were though. Basically played it using only the mini-map.
Wipeout
Bust-A-Move 4
Dino Crisis
Jumpin' Flash
Croc
Premier Manager 98 - Where you could play a season in 30 minutes
Then there is the obvious Syphon Filter, MGS, FIFA 98, Crash Bandicoot etc
Rayman
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
Crash Team Racing
Bushido Blade
Silent Bomber. Fast, frantic arcade style action.
The story goes a bit weird toward the end when you're fighting on a giant chess board in space but a really good fun, game.

MGS was brilliant on the PS1. Shame the sequels have been such a let down in comparison.
Tenchu was great. A stealthy ninja game.
Matrix:Path of Neo on the PS2 was great fun.
In fact for sheer playability the PS1 and PS2 had by far the better games I think.

Loved Die Hard Trilogy, for me the 3rd part was the most fun even though I enjoyed the game as a whole.
All a bit mainstream, but..
Colin Macrae 2 (the cheats took it to another level of fun)
Tony Hawks 2 + Matt Hoffmans Pro BMX
FIFA 95 (was actually horrendous but you could play indoor)
MK3
Doom
Tekken 2
Medal of Honour 1+2
Gran Turismo 1+2
Silent Hill
Wasted so much of my childhood enjoying those games, pretty sure they were all ps1 but some may have been ps2?
Can't believe I forgot Demolition Derby.
