"Its very noble for people to say that fans should back the team but some of us have been backing them for 50 years and still have to put up with the same disappointments year after year.

The public can't be kidded. They know what they want to see, what is good and what is bad and what is just average. At least I believe they do.
We must always consider our supporters, for without them there would be no professional football. It would be better to have more fans watching football the way they like it played, rather than have a few fans watching football the way we would like it played.

"They are professionals from the groundsmen to Levy and without the fans there is no club. They all make money from THFC the only ones who dont get paid are the fans who actually spend a fortune one way or another."
Most of us know the quote that applies to this one.
It's funny to see some people condoning booing, yet were set against anyone criticising AVB on a forum beforehand .
Not everyone booed. Some did. Saturday was yet another frustrating game though so I can understand why it boils over, especially with a bit of booze inside.
Booing Bentaleb was unacceptable. If people chose to boo Paulinho coming on, I can totally get that though, as that is showing displeasure at a coach's poor choice of sub. Ditto at the end of the game.
Shaky performances and nervous crowds feed eachother, but if you don't give yourself a chance with the way you set a team up you are only adding to that.

Nah, not you .
There were boos after the shot, which isn't on. He was far from the problem.
The crowd were singing for Lennon early doors, because it was obvious we lacked any cutting edge going forward, weren't stretching Palace, and the right back was being demolished (again). We made them look very good.
How Lamela gets a game on the right at present is beyond me. Not his fault because he doesnt pick the side, but it pains me to watch us toil when there is a remedy available who worked a week before.
Kane and Soldado looked as useless as any performance from Adebayor. Kaboul, Naughton and Rose were not in the side, nor Capoue or Dembele. We are all scapegoated out.
Even making the change of Pamela for Chadli, rather than putting Chadli on the right and getting him to replicate what Lennon did last week and provide width and protect Dier, he put Chadli left and Eriksen right.
Poor management. As it was last week when he hooked Lennon for Lamela (rather than Chadli) and we invited pressure on ourselves.
Sometimes you hold your hands up and say we played badly, but it's too common a thing for us at home to fall back on

Did the fans really boo Bentaleb or just the shot itself ? if they did then yes that's a disgrace

Bales
Fans abroad really seem to of over taken us for atmosphere and passion
A lot of that is to do with seating and over zealous stewards but mostly ticket prices that have made the real fans walk away to be replaced by tourists who spend money but never sing and don't have any passion or knowledge of the club and spend the match taking photos and selfies
Football is no longer a working mans sport where he could go and get behind his team
I fear for the game in this country in the long term
