we need to attack them today, that team looks vulnerable at the back
If Jones makes any mistakes and concedes a number of goals it's all going to come back on Rodgers, more than it would if it was Mignolet messing up.

So I think we now know Mignolet is a goner sooner or later.
Very rare to drop a keeper you see as the long term first choice. It's not like he is a kid.
Looking at the line-ups - it looks like it's going to be 6-4 to United.

id take that
no pace in our team
Not much pace in our team either really.
Sterling and Moreno but that's about it.
Is it 3-5-2 for you with Carrick centre half, or a back 4 with Young and Valencia in it?
after seeing the teams i fancy us a bit more now, going to change my prediction on reds thread
It looks like both teams are playing 3 CB's.
Rodgers has plumped for mobility, movement and speed.
I like the change myself. We need to do something different.
Mig for Jones is a massive call though. I hope Jones doesn't bottle it. One thing I think is certain. Mignolet will not be a Liverpool player next season.
What a blow to a goalkeepers self esteem. Being replaced by Brad Jones. Jeepers.
Still if you under perform you shouldn't be sure of your place.

in response to the same question to LVG, he said "you will see on the pitch"
so probably yes then! at home thats not acceptable to be so defensive
My guess at the formation:
Jones
Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno,
Allen
Henderson, Coutinho,
Gerrard
Lallana, Sterling.

What time is kick off?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1.30
Allen instead of Can/Lucas
Toure not playing
I agree with Jones for Mig, he needed to be dropped. Pellegrini did the same with Hart last season when he was playing poorly.
Sterling as a lone striker though...
Then again, if Jones wants any chance of playing even a small part in Liverpool's season he has to grab this chance and make the most of it. Most fans know he'll never be first choice keeper but if he's got any ambition he could use this opportunity to prove us all wrong.
Today could not be a better time to do this

Difference with the Hart comparison is that Hart was a good keeper playing badly, while Mig is just a poor keeper playing at his level

Apparently we could also go 3-5-2 with Henderson and Moreno as wing backs.
Hopefully United don't get too many shots as Jones is woeful.
I just don't understand how we have spent so much money but have an £11m keeper we don't play in our biggest league game, and a £9m striker who can't even get on the bench when we play with no strikers.
The transfer committee is failing miserably, and if FSG don't sort it out then long term we are going nowhere.
Think he's put Jones in for better kicking.
Definitely come away from the defensive game we've been playing and going more attacking. Hopefully it works, it's certainly a risk.
