Lose tomorrow and it's over. Lose this weekend and...it's not, if you know what I mean.

We will see tomorrow but I reckon you'll see at minimum 6 changes!

IMO the weekend is just as important as tomorrow!

And if we do get through we'll only get Chelsea next and get battered

What lesser games?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the league I guess against weaker opposition. Although I'm sure we'll make it look like we're playing Chelsea.

Play Townsend then, one of his shots may go in.

Why? None of the other 300 shots he has had have gone in, have they?

I'm with the 'all out in CC' camp. I have only seen two Tottenham trophies in my life. Would love to see a third.

Wasn't really a serious comment, more a joke that maybe Townsend can finally score vs an inexperienced keeper.

If MP messes with the side tomorrow and we lose I swear I will go down to WHL and slap him

I think we should rest a few to give us the best chance in both games. Mason and Walker should both sit this one out, maybe Kane too.

Lloris
Dier Fazio Vert Davies
Stambouli Bentaleb
Lennon Eriksen Chadli
Soldado

Ade on the bench?

Just start with the same team we did on Sunday , if ain't broke don't fix it.

I'm backing us to batter the Geordies tonight.

posted on 17/12/14

I seriously hope that Poch does not make wholesale changes tonight, far too many changes from game to game. No reason why the players cannot play 2 or 3 games in seven days, they are supposed to be fit young men withe the aid of some of the finest training and medical facilities in the world. Tonight's game is the most important of the season this far.

What is the point of Spurs being in any competition, if you think that Spurs will get battered if they have to face Chelsea. Hopefully the team and the manager have a better mindset than you. They were going to get battered the last time they met Chelsea in a final, and they won.

Weren't Wigan going to get battered in the cup final when they met Man City, but they won.

I hate negative rubbish that sees a team beaten before they step onto the pitch.

Because we've been battered by Chelsea for what 21 years at Stamford bridge

We need to keep players fresh as possible

Let's look at Sunday team

Lloris
Walker Fazio Verts Davies
Mason bentaleb
Lamela kane Eriksen
Soldado

Walker cannot play due to fitness
Fazio was shocking and no better than kaboul
Mason was didn't play well
Lamela is well Lamela
Soldado is well Soldado

On that basis there's 5 players who shouldn't be in the team!
Add in the fact Kane ran more than any other forward at the weekend and was clearly shattered at the end of the game that's another one there!

Everyone could play again but at the same time they won't be at there possible highest level and then more likely to get muscle injuries!

So just because Spurs lost the other week, and have not won at SB for donkey`s years that is a reason for Spurs just to roll over against them. What is the point of even playing Chelsea ever again, if you do not think Spurs can never beat them. Nonsense thinking, and only losers think like that.

Spurs had not won at Old Trafford for donkey`s years either, but have now won their last two visits.

Anyway this article is not about Chelsea, it is about playing full strength against Newcastle, in which is the biggest game of the season so far in my book. If Poch wants to rest players he can do that against Burnley, Spurs are not going to win the league, so the three cup competitions should be taking centre stage, and not the league.
