I wouldn't say we were wrong for wanting him out. I still hate the caant and his attitude but he does deserve a bit of credit.
no credit however for playing nolan who is a lower half championship player at very best
We have the squad now and with a better manager we could do better.
I think that the pressure Hammers fans put on the board with the Same out campaign has a direct correlation with our current position.
The fans forced the board to take Sam aside and make changes to his style of play and Sam was forced to accept Teddy Sheringham as attacking coach. Most importantly the board listened to fans and went out and signed attacking players, all of who have worked out.
All this came from fan pressure.
Sam was forced to change, but he has impressed me by how well he has carried that change through.
I'm glad that Sam has finally got the support he deserves as he's done a great job from promotion to finishing mid table which is never easy. I've never wanted him out despite his style of play in previous seasons and hope he stays. Consistency is key for our club and it's been a while since we've had any.
Always rated him since his days at Bolton.
In all honesty, he should have gotten the England job he wanted after Sven left.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but along with Redknapp he is the most successful English manager of recent years and for whatever reason neither has been given a chance by the F.A

I assumed he was but it's hard to tell. My point remains though, if you want an English manager for England it's hard to see beyond Harry or Sam. Who else is even in the frame?
That's the reason it has to be a foreign manager.
Wasn't being sarcastic.
Fat Sam should of been given it after Sven. After Sven, they gave it to Capello, who has to be one of the worst England managers of all time. I think Sam would of done better as manager in the 2010 World Cup. Fat Sam is like Pardew imo. Neither are top managers but both are perfectly decent enough English managers. Probably underrated by supporters in this country. And yes, I think having an English manager does help.
Still cant believe the lack of LUV for Big Sam with your club realistically sitting within striking distance of a CL spot, and not on luck. This season is no fluke, but I still don't see Sam getting the respect he deserves. I think we were 100% right to want Moyes out straight away last season, but the lack of respect for Sam makes some of your supporters look like proper caaants. You know who you are, as this isn't directed towards your proper supporters. WHU has looked top notch this season, playing some real football, this isn't like Sam's Bolton squads FFS.
