He indeed does a job of keeping the ball moving, whether this constitutes being labeled the best English player in the premier league right now, well of his kind he might well be, but overall, hes a cog in an engine.
If that engine is working well, then fine, hes decent, if that engine is spluttering, then hes not the type of player to do much about it.

Probably, because the average fan, tends to get a little bit more excited about players who look to make things happen, rather than work horses or water carriers.
All successful teams need players like this, so in that respect, you might be right, these type of players will inevitably be under appreciated.

Gerrard is a headless chicken compared to Carrick,but Carrick doesn't get 1 in 10 hollywood balls to find his man,he finds a man 9 in 10 with shorter passes.
