Why does he fall over EVERY time he does something?

Are you confusing Welbeck with Yaya Sanogo?

Anyone that watched Welbeck regularly for United will tell you that if he hit it first time his finishing was better.
Give him time to think and he scuffs it or trips over the ball.
That's not a stereotype about black players. That's just how Welbeck played.
What the same fabled Utd academy that let Piquet and Pogba go?
He's worth 16m for his work rate alone I like him hes a good player glad we got him.
No that was Ferguson. It was the acadamy that produced them and the club that made umpteen striker better at football. They like strikers at Utd.
He'll still outscore 50m falcao
What strikers have Man Utd produced?
All their best strikers have been bought. Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, RVP, etc.
Wenger will hopefully do for Welbeck that Man Utd have failed to do, ie make him into a top striker.
And if he doesn't? Nothing lost for just £16m!
Our academy hasn't really produced any strikers, to be fair. Rossi was in the academy but was signed from Parma.
Welbeck is the only striker that has really made it out of United's academy in recent years and he's just a crap finisher.
I'd say we actually have a problem with producing strikers out of our academy. Hopefully Wilson can buck the trend.
Very underrated player.
He's very fast, strong, works incredibly hard, and has good hold-up/link-up play.
As has been said before, finishing is the only thing he's lacking atm.

How many of those did they make better? I'd say Cole, Sheringham, Yorke, RvN and Rooney have all played their best football there - maybe even RvP.

How can he be underrated. Everyone knows he works hard and all that jazz but he doesn't score enough and he doesn't set up many and that's his job so at what point and I underrating a player with a 1 in 5 strike rate (ish)?

My comment wasn't a response to you (I didn't read many of the previous comments); but there are a lot of people on here who pass him off as a 'donkey' (or words to that effect) and criticise his signing and/or inclusion in the team based on his underwhelming goal return.
This is obviously an aspect of his game that could be improved, but overall, I'd say his all-round game is very beneficial to the team and more than justifies his selection.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Seriously? I think you may need to do some research. Fergie bought proven scorers and they just continued to do what they had done elsewhere. And as soon as they had a dip he got rid!
I think people often overstate the importance of the club and manager being responsible for a player's improvement.
That's not to suggest it doesn't have an influence, of course it does, but for every hit that said clubs and managers have there are also several misses.
It's easy to point to the hits and say this club and manager will improve a player in the same way and then ignore all the misses they make.
Which is where it's also primarily up to the individual to improve himself. Ronaldo, for example, improved at a much faster rate than Rooney because of his own attitude, despite working under the same manager.
The notion that Wenger will just magically improve Welbeck's finishing is a bit of a stretch, for me.
Giroud has been injured for about 2-3 months and has already outscored him in the prem.
Welbeck is decent, a jack of all trades, master of none. Don't give him time to think though.

And who is suggesting that? As I said, if Wenger does, as he has in the past for Weah, Henry, Trez, Anelka, RVP, Theo, and even Giroud, it will be good.
If he doesn't there is nothing lost at £16m!
You said Wenger will get him to improve that. I've seen it mentioned by United and Arsenal fans as well.
I'm not convinced.
He is what he was expected, generally good on the ball, works hard, lacks composure in the box. Honestly he isn't as skilful as I expected.
Good player, but lets face it, our rivals domestically and abroad have far, far better forwards than we do.

Wenger's history of working with young and even older strikers suggests he will improve Welbeck's finishing. Whether that is sufficient for a Champions League club is another question.
At the moment its anyones guess. However Welbeck has many Arsenal doubters. And it will be up to him to prove them wrong. But it was a gamble worth taking looking at the amount he cost and the fact he has all the raw materials needed in a top striker. There is no magic abt it. It requires a lot of hard work. But looking at Welbeck's work ethic and commitment by demanding a move to Arsenal when he could have gone to Spurs for more money says a lot abt how motivated he is to get better.
Welbeck as a wing forward... Terrible. That's the player United were happy to let go.
Im disappointed because i thought he'd be given more of an opportunity to be our main man, the Centre Forward. This hasn't happened and now my dislike for him as a player means i wouldn't even trust him as a CF.
He has gone sideways, just the same old half decent wide forward that he was last year.
Fergie probably had a better record with strikers and he still couldn't hit a barn door.
Welbeck is hard working and committed but he's just not a particularly gifted footballer and cannot shoot for shiiiit.
Seems to do well for England, though, so I'm happy with that.

What do you mean this hasn't happened?
How many games has Welbeck payed up front prior to Giroud return?
And even now that Giroud is back, they both switching spot during the game...
Lets be honest Arsenal have been go awful during his whole career here. Lets see what he does when we are on form.
He has been one of our best performers through this abysmal run.
