Sterlings pace.
Chambers is inexperienced, Wenger preferred to have the more experienced Debuchy at CB and Chambers 'out of the way' at RB.
Expecting to see Debuchy back at RB and Monreal at CB on Friday.
Hey, I am new to this website and this is my first 'article'.
Can anyone explain why debuchy and chambers have switched positions. Clearly chambers is more comfortable at centre back and Debuchy is definitely our best full back.
Makes no sense :/

Chambers isn't comfortable anywhere at the moment. The bench would be the best place for him.
He's a talented defender but he's being overplayed while his confidence is low. The same problem that ruined Senderos.
May actually see our first choice back 4 over the festive period, with news Koscielny may be fit as early as Sunday.
How many times have we had Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny and Gibbs start together?

Don't think they have yet. First few games Mertesacker was rested. When he came back Gibbs got inured. Monreal kept his place when Gibbs returned but by the time Gibbs regained his place Debuchy got injured. And then Koscielny too
As good as Chambers is at CB, I suspect that Wenger has concerns about the Mertesacker-Chambers partnership.
Chambers' main problem at CB is his proclivity to try and win the ball-back early and get caught out when diving in - we've seen this on numerous occasions this season, with the likes of Dzeko, Ba, and Lukaku all getting the better of him because of this rashness.
Whilst this is always going to be a problem, at least when we had Koscielny alongside him, he had a partner with enough pace to cover for his errors. Alongside Mertesacker, if Chambers gets caught out, there's no-one who can make up the ground and bail him out.
Similarly, if Mertesacker gets beaten, Chambers' all-or-nothing style can leave us very vulnerable. Take the Naismith goal against us for example: Lukaku takes Mertesacker out of the game (arguably illegally), and instead of holding the Belgian up and waiting for defensive cover to arrive, Chambers flies in, misses the ball, and leaves us completely exposed.
We've only seen him play there twice, but Debuchy seems to be very comfortable covering in-behind Mertesacker, which is perhaps why he was preferred to Chambers at CB.
How is Jenkinson doing at West Ham?
Would love to be able to take this article at face value
Is this the longest gibbs has lasted?

that formation maybe mobile enough for us to push up to the half way line and man to man.
Lets abolish the cb position.

Crazy as that looks, I think it could help reassert more midfield control on games as compared to fielding Per at the back.
Because Per is a Frenchophile and only plays well with a French partner.
