RC..............why do you do it???
It is obvious what opposing fans are going to come back with. Why all the negativity all the time?
You claim to be a Spurs supporter, but I have yet to see any hard evidence of it on here.
All clubs make bad buying decisions over the course of time, it is one of the hazards in football. Some players just don't fit at some clubs.
We have had our fair share of disasters over the years, indeed players who failed at WHL went on to do well elsewhere.
However we have also signed some stellar players like, Mabbut, Jennings, Gascoigne, Bale, Blanchflower, England, Sheringham, Waddle, Modric, Van der Vart, Ginola, Clemence, Lloris, Verthongen, Walker & of course a certain Mr Greaves.
Of the new crop I think the jury is out on some of them, however I think Soldado for one gets a lot of unfair criticism, his work ethic is excellent as his his team play. Unfortunately we rarely play two up front and that is what he thrives on, the little knock downs etc from a partner. Kane could effectively be the answer there.
I was a big supporter of Lamela coming to us, and I have to admit he has taken time to adjust to the PL, which does worry me. He has ability definitely, whether he has the character remains to be seen.
It's gotta be Torres. To go from world class hitman to catatonic fairy was/is embarrassing to watch.
Lamela and Soldado joint 2nd but they're just shoitte.
Oooooops, sorry guys I forgot Lineker off my list of great buys!
In terms of fee paid, fee recouped and success at club
Loldado is there abouts
You actually could've put a list of 5 Tottenham players
Given your spend to silverware ratio - nobody could really argue
Apparently, Tottenham have the worst trophy return for money spent on the entire European continent
As you could with Liverpool too!
As for your comment re worst return on trophies, where is your evidence. I suspect you have none, they being your use of the word apparently!
Plus our NET spend is far lower than virtually every club in the PL.
We might have spent £110m in the past 18 months, we also however recouped around £116m in outgoing sales at the same time, giving us a net spend of minus £6m...
All teams could Genius. I still cringe at the thought of Paul Furlong being Chelsea's record signing.
You really need Lamela to come good quickly though.
Too true CescMatic, got to say I like the way you lot are playing this season

Merry Christmas Genius and 8 Ace. Be lucky
Soldado being an expensive flop is an exaggeration of the truth. The facts are Tottenham have only paid £13mil to Valencia so far. The rest will be paid depending on goals/appearance targets being met. In today's inflated market £13mil is about right for what he has produced. As long as Bobby continues to improve this season I will back him.

Lamela as biggest flop? Odd timing - kid has real skill and is clearly just raw, as we have Seen with some of his awesome goals this season
Even if doesn't make it at Spurs could definitely recoup a lot of the fee by selling back to serie a
Don't think Lamela should be there...yet.
Am including Spurs players to stop little cry babies moaning about bias .
Just look at this sheriff, the hissy fits he throws when anyone points out how poor ozil is
Liverpool got back around £18m from the sale of Carroll. Terrible signing but the net cost of the transfer is around £20m which should ensure that transfer does not belong on this list. OP also forgot Shevchenko who should be second to Torres IMO.
We should wait a while and see what happens with Falcao. This guy might smash all the records. Utd already coughing up around £20m in loan fees and wages but the guy cant stay fit!
