They needed a creative mid to replace Lampard's assists and goals - bought Fabregas,
They needed a world class striker - bought Costa.
They needed a defensive midfielder - bought Matic.
It's always helpful when you can see your weaknesses and the way to solve them. Arsenal and it's management clearly can't, same could be said for Man U.

Bit harsh on United, they needed a new MF and new Defence. They have sorted out the creative side to the MF. If they sign a CB and maybe a DM they would be sorted.
Remember that squad has always been poor only Fergie who carried them.
If both teams have a fully fit squad, city for me
They don't have much depth if Fabregas/Hazard gets injured, that about it. being in four competitions could cost them as well. City are more impressive with the injuries they've had and have a stronger squad so think they will win the league.

Probbaly agree, thing is City are staying in touch despite injuries. Ok, they probably lost Aguero at the best possible time in temrs of fixtures, but fact is we have not had any injury problems yet, if or when we do, that might be where we get found out.
City without Toure in Jan is going to be important. If they cope then I fancy them to pip us to the title.
Chelsea teams in general of recent times don't really pick up injuries.
City have a much harder set of fixtures second half of the season. But they do have the better squad so we'll see how it goes

Better squad?
I think Citz have a better squad and I think they are proving that right now tbh..
I think we will need to have better luck with injuries than City if we are to win the title..

How much have Chelsea spent this season compared to Arsenal?
Don't be a bitter toool, it's not all about money.
Without Costa they are blunt, without Matic they are unbalanced in midfield. Without Terry they are shaky at the back.
Injuries to those 3 will uncover their weaknesses
We can cope without Costa and Terry but not Matic.
An injury to Hazard or Matic and Chelsea are in trouble. They have nobody else in the squad who come close to them in terms of ability. But as long as everyone is fit, they don't really have a glaring weakness. You could say Willian and Oscar could be upgraded on but even they are quality players.
City have done unbelievable to keep in touching distance with the injuries they have suffered all season. It's unreal Chelsea haven't run away with the league already.
City have a better squad, plus although unlucky with injuries to their main strikers, they have been lucky with the games they have missed.

I don't understand this how much did team A spend compared to team B last season. It is not just about 1 seasons spending. The money City paid for Aguero for example or Ozil at Arsenal does not stop counting after 1 season .
Once City got in the Champions League, which I think is crucial because you can get a number of top players they have finished 1st, 2nd and 1st.
are we still using the money excuse? amazing.

Chelsea's car is much faster they got what they paid for
You pay the most wages in the league
Yer I suppose we do pay the most for petrol.
