Hopefully the penny has dropped about no games being foregone conclusions and we approach both games with respect.

And well done to the lads not that the press will make a big deal out of it.

Should we be good enough to get three points tomorrow then thirty from ten is an outstanding total to reach with the injuries we have suffered

The press were fawning all over utd when they were on their winning streak, ours is bigger and not a dicky bird.

tbh pplf its exactly what I've come to expect. Liverpool's 51 passes against Bournemouth had had more press than us ffs.

I would say the press are delighted you keep winning otherwise they have a no-contest from jan onwards. If United return to decent form i couldn't care less about media coverage, certainly not enough to mention other clubs. You are aware certain journos have relationships with some clubs and not others,i bet you're the talk of the town all over abu dhabi or wherever you are from.

Listening to the sports news on 5Live last night, I'm led to believe that getting 22 points from a possible 24 is more praiseworthy than actually getting 24 points from a possible 24.

We're from Manchester, where are you from?

Playing to the readership unfortunately.

The print version of the MEN is quite balanced as it's aimed at a more local readership whereas the online version is squarely aimed at plastics wherever they may be.

To be fair we were in a relegation battle and millions away from top 4 so that was more of a suprise and we have done it with the biggest injury crisis and beat teams people expected us to lose against.

you still had the most expensive strikeforce in prem history mostly available, we have had none for 3 games now...

Utd won 6 on the trot in the Orem and it was like the second coming of Christ in the media
We've won 7 on the trot in the prem and its like nothing's happened, while utd had available the most expensive strike force in history and city had to make do with Milner and Pozo
No agenda from the media,I completely agree Hafi

Joe Hart, nice guy and above average goalkeeper, has another one of his "senior moments", this time against WBA. Instead of catching the ball he chooses to punch a wet ball and costs City a goal. The difference between City and Chelsea at season's end might well be goal difference. Every goal is important.

posted on 27/12/14

He should be punching a wet ball rather than catching it.

Sadly for you, the facts, and the commentators would say otherwise. Hart is very tall, had plenty of room, plus those great goalie gloves, he should have attempted to catch it. End of story. Happy New Year!

If only the shots had been straight at him he would have been the bestest keeper ever

Would love to see Man city without Yaya Toure for half the season, Kompany Mangala Demichelis Clichy Kolarov all out for most of the season as that is what Man utd had to cope with. Whats worse is we have one of the smallest squads in the league after clearout in summer, so we used the most reserve players of any side in the league I believe.

Most expensive strikeforce in history We got still Rooney and RVP and a loan player Falcao and Di Maria who barely ever players and Wilson. If anything our strikeforce this season cost less.

posted on 27/12/14

I think we will break a new record for injuries this season and the worst part is to key players. Yaya goes to AFCON, similar to Carrick out for half this season.

"Sadly for you, the facts, and the commentators would say otherwise."

What facts? Read any youth development book on training and it will say that is one of the situations when to punch. The fact it went wrong this time doesn't mean it is always the wrong choice.

Hafi,

Your first choice defence is nowhere near the level of Kompany and Zabaleta though, both of which have been out this season already.

Ignore that last comment Hafi, just realised you were wumming and can't be bothered.

meltonblue world cup finalist Rojo, Blind DM can play LCB, Shaw our only real LB injured most of the season, Mcnair our hero only came back recently, Evans 10 week lay off Jones out for a lot of weeks, Rafael our 1st choice RB barely played missed most of the season and only came back as a sub got MOTM against West ham.

Our first choice side would be
De Gea
Rafael Rojo Blind Shaw
Valencia Herrera Carrick Di Maria
Rooney RVP
(maybe Smalling or Mcnair instead of Blind) Fellaini only got so many games due to our injuries and now he is injured.

posted on 27/12/14

Only 5 played that game and 1 came on as a sub of maybe our strongest XI and having 8 injuries is lower then for a lot of this season which has been 10+
