imo, Jose is going with his strongest line up whenever possible.
City have made up the points and our fixture list has been full of potential problems.
We do have Southampton and Spurs away next up both games we could drop points , he is playing it safe .
Yeah I don't advocate playing Remy in place of Costa...but I'd give him a shot out wide here and there
i agree it will be great when he gets the opportunity to build up minutes, injuries are only a game away .

I agree with that but it doesn't explain to me why he chooses The Drog over Remy, when he either substitutes Costa or brings someone on to play alongside Costa!
I love the Drog but I can't escape the fact that at knocking 37, he's no longer the force he once was!!
Remy looks much more dangerous to me!

Maybe Jose sees them as doing 2 jobs, Drog comes on for the last 10/15 minutes so we can convert to hoof ball if need be. I think in most cases Remy will start rather than be a sub.

Don't recall him starting a game yet....or has he...not in the prem anyway
The one thing i believe, everything Jose does is a totally calculated choice, and i do mean everything.
The thing is if he doesn't get any minutes he's not going to have any match sharpness when called upon (If he does) !!!
Drogba has looked more dangerous than Remy when started and when coming on - plus he is not too dissimilar to what Costa offers with his hold up play, actual I would say he is better than Costa with his hold up play. So what he has been doing now makes sense.
Remy can play left wing as well, but no way will we drop Hazard or Willian for him, if we do it will be for Schrulle who is a more natural wing forward/wide player imo.
Remy is a funny one, I honestly believe he was the ultimate last resort after Torres wanted out, Ba wanted out, Lukaku wanted out, Eto'o wanted out and we failed with Destro. I wouldn't be surprised if we sell him off this summer.

This may be a reality...
Remy is a very good player, I just don't think the way we play and teams set up against us suits him. Liverpool would have been a great fit for him - happy they didn't get him, and ironically got a player who I think would do decent here - Balotelli.

De B....right up until then you were talking sense...
Jose likes Drogba for his defensive headers. He'd bring on Robert Huth if he could.
I know a lot of people don't like Balotelli I see the talent in him behind the stubborn problem child attitude....unless you think I wasn't making sense about how teams normally set up against us?

When has Remy started?
Didn't he start against Palace?
Remy did start a CL game and scored a lovely goal. Sadly he got injured right after scoring the goal and has struggled to get into the team since then.
I think he would have established himself much more if not for that injury.
Either way Jose knows all about Remy's qualities and he knows he a good player.
I'm hoping we'll see more of Remy in this second half of the season because as the likes of Costa tire we'll need an energised Remy to come in and provide some zip into our attacks either as a striker or as a winger.
I think Drogba is stil an asset to the team. You cant buy his experience and he's usually 2 steps ahead of defenders. He is slow but he doesnt need pace. He knows how to get his way with most defenders in the premier league, when to barge into them, when to back off, when to go down and how to get away from his marker.
I'm not sure Remy is more dangerous than an aging drogba

you're not...or you are...?
Remy needs to feature way more often than he has been. Either starting or as sub and either as a striker or winger.
End of.
On a separate note does anyone think we should bring in Bony this summer to replace Drogba ?
Bony would be a great replacement in the squad for the big man.
A strikeforce of Costa, Bony and Remy certainly does it for me.
What about Benteke Superb. I must admit - we missed a big trick with Benteke, got the wrong Belgium in. Although I was a big supporter for us to bring Bony in before he went to Swansea. Either will do - but I seriously think Benteke can become world class.
