Chelsea fans - if you could also loan us the following players that would be great;

Cech
Remy
Azpilicueta
Salah
Felipe Luis
Ramirez.

I can see them all wanting to join Leicester

BS- Over here we kid about the best boat to have......... A buddies boat, as they have purchase price, up keep and if it goes wrong it is their problem. We just put petrol in it and bring beer.

Not quite the same but you get the general idea.Be a good bit of biz for us if this does come off though, as you and I were earlier talking about Nige loaning as opposed to spending big.

You're right FF - I actually prefer this scenario to us splashing £8m on someone who hasn't played in the prem before. Sounds as if he could be just what we need

If the opportunity to loan a player being followed by Chelsea and juventus is presented to us we should snap it up.

Would seem to make sense for both clubs.

We have a full compliment of overseas players registered so to have used him this season someone would have had to go. There are a few possibilities, Salah or Cech but until Drogba is done at the end of this season a 4th striker is very unlikely to appear at all.
It gives him the chance to get accustomed to the country and Prem and then be our 2nd/3rd striker next season.

You get a potentially good striking option.

B/S,F/F, Topf,

This player must be decent for us to go for him in this window, (typical ) CFC winter move.

Yes of course there is a question will the player adapt to the EPL, so loaning him out to get match minutes is essential allowing us to monitor him, also lets not forget we are complete with squad places for the C/L.

Should be a good deal for all parties the next 5 months will tell if the lad is ready for the big time at CFC.

If this is true its great news he won't be cheap wages wise unless Chelsea are going to pay some of those but either way who cares!
We can use our cash to spend or more squad strengthening.

You and your Remy obsession Sheriff

It means Drogba is retiring at the end of the season.

I don't know Sherrif,

Costa, Remy, & Krameric may well be next seasons striking options.

If it is it will be a top bit of business !

posted on 29/12/14

We still need a really good backup to Costa - I expect us to sign someone like Destro, Bony, Benteke in the summer - with the 3rd spot being either Remy or Bamford/ maybe this guy.

By all accounts he looks like a Mourinho type player. Very strong in the air with great technical ability and able to play as a natural lone striker when needed.

This also suits what we need as we set up with one up front when away from home and Ulloa struggles in that role

and rather than waiting for crosses or ball to come to him, tends to run towards the ball,

Wow a striker that runs towards the ball, whatever next

I don't want to pi$$ on anyones chips but what's the source for this transfer?

I can't see anything on the BBC football page, SSN and above all there's nothing on the Chelsea website about it!

The only thing I can see is this:

Chelsea are preparing to make a £7.8m bid for Croatian side HNK Rijeka's forward Andrej Kramaric, 23, in January. (Metro)

posted on 29/12/14

I think the initial source was talksport - its by no means confirmed on any major news sources like the BBC but a lot of media outlets are running with it this morning quoting the 5th Jan as the date for his medical.

This has all come from the director of Rijeka confirming the club had been in discussions with both Chelsea and Leicester earlier this month and that a bid had been made by Leicester.

posted on 29/12/14

The Daily Fail are running with it as one of their main transfer stories also - and yep I know they are not the most reliable of sources but they were right about our DoF being sacked

They quote the Rijeka director confirming discussions with both clubs - deal not agreed yet though

Cheers BlackStarr

However being a cynical old (well, middle aged really ) I don't tend to believe anything until the i's are dotted, the t's are crossed and it's on the club website!!

Yeah fair enough Brummieblue, I think this one has some legs and has been doing the rounds for a couple of months, but you're right anything could happen

Brummie has no sense of adventure......................

posted on 29/12/14

If he's as good as I've heard and it becomes reality, it sounds an exciting prospect and beneficial to both parties!

Biggish - No sense of adventure I've been to see us at 'The Old Den', I'll have you know

Brummie, that is insanity, not a sense of adventure
