Just as the Newcastle have openly shown contempt for him, he is only doing the same back. Ask yourself what bigger insult could he give than opting to going to a relegation threatened club?
Newcastle fans have wanted him gone for ages and he gets hurdles of abuse every week. He has links to Palace and it's closer to his family. I can understand the decision.
If you were offered double your current salary at a smaller company (that you used to work for), would you stay where you are? Not forgetting some of the abuse you've had at your current workplace?
OP hasn't got a clue of A) The relationship between the Geordie fans and Pardew. B) Pardews connections to Palace (FA cup semi final v Liverpool being his highlight of his playing time at Palace. C) The fact that Pardew is from London and just might want to live there near his family.
I could go on but the reality is the OP is a dope
I don't blame him, not 2 months ago half of SJP were waving "Sack Pardew" banners - he's got them winning some matches recently and I respect him for giving a massive 'fúck you' to the Newcastle fans.
Pardew is crap and the Newcastle fans have every right to be angry with him. Their form in 2014 has been píss awful.
I don't blame him, on top of the points mentioned above Ashley doesn't seem too ambitious in terms of European football and cup wins, he just wants top half finishes which is reflected in the budget he gets and the players that they're happy to cash in on.
I think he's done a good job there and probably got them about as far as he, or most other managers under the current set up, can.
Palace is a new challenge, but long term if he can keep them up this year I imagine the owners wouldn't be happy getting to a top half finish and then not even trying to push.
A massive 'fvck you'? Most fans are delighted the has gone.

I see it as a fúck you, he's had a good few games recently and as we all know in the PL when it comes to managers you have to be careful what you wish for.
Moreover, I can understand why I would want to move out of the dark dingy hole that is the North East of England.
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised to see Newcastle decline now
Newcastle is an iconic city and I would prefer Newcastle to London.Newcastle is an area with natural beauty!
Yes i know that Pardew was abused by Newcastle fans but still he should have been loyal to Mike Ashley!
My second team is Newcastle and my first team is Chelsea!

You wish Crystal Palace get relegated for getting a manager who you regard as out of their league?
I am 26 years old and coming to work in England in March 2015!
