Pepper, i've 5d the article anyway, but I just wonder if he step up under what is effectively a "microscope".

Bony is a player we were monitoring for sometime whilst he was at Vitess, I believe we did make an offer and it was turned down as being derisory , we didn't up it and after a couple of seasons after he went to swansea for a fee in the region of our offer.

At the time i felt we should have offered more, but i think he got lost in the disruption that was the managerial merry go round that lasted from 2008 > 2012.

Great shame really, I've been advocate of this lad since his Vitess days, I'm certain if had signed back in 2010 we would have not had the Torres debacle.

Nice player good luck to him!

He scored a superb goal against us when Swansea were at the Ethiad.

They are talking between 20-30 million depending on where you read it.

Thats a lot of money for a bench warmer which is all he will be at either club for 90% of the season.

He wont be a benchwarmer he has more to his game than Dzeko so it will be Edin on the bench and Jovetic cant stay fit either.

Purple patch

He will go for something in the region of 20m.

Vitess wanted 15/ 18m i believe originally , Cfc offered something in the region 8m, and i believe he went to Swansea for under 10m.

Looks like value imo.

City don't get the media bullshlt about their academy that Chelsea do

City play with two strikers when available, he'll get plenty of game time if he signs for them.

And Aguero gets injured every 6 weeks

Whoever gets Bony will benefit hugely. I think he would have been a good replacement for Drogba.

On a recent thread a lot of people we're saying he wasn't Chelsea standard but now he's linked with City no doubt they'all change their tune.

Bony, Benteke or Destro will do. I would prefer Benteke, but don't think no one will approach him until the summer, when his fitness can be assessed. Benteke shows many of the attributes that Drogba showcased back in the days - I think he will become a world class striker at one of the top clubs.

Career suicide for Bony, as soon as Aguero, Jovetic and Dzeko are back he won't get a look in.

He'd get in the side over Jovetic and Dzeko all day.

Id rather have a fit Dzeko to be honest.

Well, you'd know more than me... but if I were Bony I'd be hesitant.

I'd prefer him to Dzeko myself, think he would link perfectly with Sergio, trouble is he's away at ACON when we need him most, so probably a non starter

posted on 31/12/14

As much as i like Dzeko he relies too much on service, has an awful first touch and goes through patches of form where he is useless.

Jovetic is a fantastic footballer, very skillful but hes not an out and out striker and will never get 20 goals a season plus his injury record is terrible.

Bony could take the pressure off Aguero and could be a good partner to him similiar to what Negredo was imo.

City need another striker. We don't. Would rather we were looking at improving on Cahill/Willian in our first team or finding a reliable alternative to Matic/Fabregas.

Pretty clear that we are signing Kramaric with the intention he joins our squad next summer (we are not spend £7m on a 23 year old who has 6 months left on his contract as a long term investment). The issue is whether he or Remy can prove to be competent back ups for us. But that can be sorted in the summer.

We don't need 2 top class strikers as Costa is going to play every game when fit as Jose is not a big rotation manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gazza...unless jose actually plays Remy in any capacity we'll never know...

Costa and Drogba have both played well so far this season. Not much reason for Remy to have been given much game time thus far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disagree...Remy can operate wide and front and would offer another dimension...drogs is 37 and looks it at times...mentally and physically
