I can't help but think that (if Pardew signs today) Palace and West Brom have got the upper hand on everyone else down there now. It may not work out that way, as it is football at the end of the day but you have to be concerned about the Premier League experienced managers at all the other teams bar Burnley.

Would absolutely love to hand on heart believe we can do it, but looking at the evidence over the course of the season so far, the history of clubs in our position and the availability of quality players in January with proven prem experience, I think its unlikely we will stay up.
I take no pleasure in making that statement and if I'm wrong I will be the first to post my delight on this board.
Before the appointment of Pulis at West Brom, I was hopeful that this season could be a record low points wise for staying up. When West Brom did it, 35 points was enough - which it hasn't been in any other recent season.
With Pulis' PL record however, I would expect West Brom to turn their form around and be safe. We need to really target 38 points to have a solid chance I think. I'll post a separate thread on upcoming fixtures and points we think we can get rather than clogging up this one (will be a long post!)
And a happy new year to you BS, cheery as ever I see, and still banging the Pulis drum......

When the fixtures came out, our last 10 looked very winnable but our performances against those teams in the reverse fixtures makes them now look very tough!
It'll be interesting to see your predictions BS, after such a low tally in the first half, we're gonna need a couple of shock wins to go alongside the must wins - hopefully starting today!
My head says we're doomed.
My heart says we'll make a couple of quality signings and storm the second half of the season.
Come on Leicester, do this for my heart and let's start with a win today.
By the way, my head still says we'll lose 2-0.
Nigel will get the manager of the season award if he keeps us up. Like Pulis did last season so anyway who thinks Pulis is carp then the other 19 managers in the Premiership did not. I know who's judgement i trust more.
Anyway not our concern we need to kick on a point today would be great a win and we might just be able to do it.
