Leave him there until Jan when we'll get him 50% off.
Sick of hearing about this now tbf. We need to move past it and look elsewhere now, Mata was the first big straight forward signing in ages.

Couldn't agree more .... stop playing the Spurs game
Withdraw the bid now and move on ....
Anyone else get the feeling that somewhere within our club the days of paying over the odds are over ?
AVB ?
I mean we seem to be paying reasonable money for good players with plenty of clauses included
Modric is not worth £30m .... IMHO
tbf torres was quite straight forward, we bid friday, they reject, by monday he was a chelsea player
We all know whats going to happen, we're going to sit on our hand until next wednesday morning then make a bid and have to rush paperwork
LSTD
Yeah ... and we paid way over the odds !
I think in the end we'll buy him for a ricilous fee (40million+) as the more the days go, the liess likely Spurs will sell for 30-35 million.

Exactly.AVB seems to have things under his control.Very level headed.
Surely ther are other players out there who are quality midfield playmakers who would cost half the price.
Our club doesn't appear very good at spotting them!
I for one doubt we will endup buying Modric for more than 30m.Those days are over under AVB.
Josh would cost nothing .....

Then i just spotted one on our bench. His name is Josh.Heared of him before.
Did you hear, the Titanic sunk.
Amazing or what?
Oh & BrummieBlue is a
I've said it before...if we end up not buying Modric or Moutinho I can see us all saying in 2 years 'I'm glad we never got Modric", just ilke we say with Robinho and Pienaar
Providing Josh steps up, which I think and hope he could do

For whatever reason AVB does not seem as comfortable allowing Josh to be the playmaker as many of us do.
We might not like it but for now I am more than happy to trust AVB to make the right decisions for CFC.
(U10263), if you'd read any of my posts you'd know I've been wishing for a greater part in the team for Josh for 12 months and would be more than happy to rely on him more!
Have you ever heard of Alan Hudson, Charlie Cooke ect before, know what your talking about before you try and play Le smartarse!!
AVB lets Josh know he has confidence in him. There you go!
What sort of answer is that - feeling a bit daft now?
The only daft one around here is you, BrummieBlue.
I'll take that as a yes then!

By the way, BrummieBlue has filterted me so he cant see any of my posts.
