He's not exactly a goal machine but he's still a kid
not sure how bringing him back mid season would reallly benefit anyone
The only positive it would have is to get him used to the prem for next season.
Don't see Origi solving our goalscoring problems anytime soon, in a year or two perhaps but not now. Really need a proven goalscorer who will be scoring straight away.
Makes sense to bring him back imo. He can help the team and get used to the other players asap.
Borini has got to go, brendans flop that one. I dont think the lad has done anything at all for us.
He's more suited to play where sterling currently is then mario lambert or borini, he might not have had a good season but at this stage Id rather give this a go then Borini or lambert off the bench, especially in the 343 we are currently playing.
Plus if it can give sterling a break it will be good the lad needs a bit of rest.
If we sell Borini then it makes sense as long as we bring in someone to play when Sturridge is out. Right now no one is good enough, and Origi isn't ready. This also means that Sterling can play in his natural position
Highly rated and would definitely provide goals IMO
Replace one 4th choice striker with another
Word is you are going to pay 3m to get your own player back early! If that's the case then I would just leave him
Lille are truly dreadful and gets stuck on the wing alot, we arent going to go out and spend big on a striker so nay aswell bring him back now, just hope nobody expects him to come in and scores shed loads hes obky 19
Also some of you do realise hes first choice for belgium, hes performs alright for them cant be that bad
dont think anyone would say hes bad
but hes more potential than for immediate impact
who knows though, mybe if given the chance hed step up

Well we arent going to go spend big on a striker so its eother him for nothing and id rather play him over lambert and borini
I'd rather recall him from Lille and loan him straight out to a Premier League team.
He'll come into the Liverpool team won't look like a Suarez direct replacement for 2 or 3 games and be castigated.
Needs to develop away from the pressure of a red shirt. I think we need a fully proven striker too, not a 19 year old kid at the moment.
Ill be very suprised if we spend big on abother striker in jan

I don't really see what option we have other than to sign a proper striker. Are the owners working with BR or against him? It's clear we don't have any striker able to lead the line proficiently as Sturridge isn't reliable with his fitness issues.
I disagree if anyone can I don't think people are expecting too much from him. But from what I've seen of him, basically the World Cup and some clips he can at least come off the bench and play the central role sterling is better then anyone else we have.
When we bring mario or lambert on we have to change shape and right now we really only look like scoring playing this 343 formation. If Origi can come off the bench he will make similar runs to sterling, between the full back and center back or pull out wide and allow Lallana or couthino to come into that space, that's what's working for us and Origi can allow us to stay in this formation when he comes on.
Hopefully Sturridge can get back and actually play a decent amount of games so Origi won't have to be thrown in and then like you say of he doesn't perform he could get slated, but IMO that won't happen as sterling and Sturridge will both be ahead of him to start that central role.
Sturridge should be back for the League cup game vs Chelsea btw.
Just hope he doesn't get injured again

I understsnd what you mean, but it depends if sterlings going to stay as a striker, if not then yes, but he could certainly play up top with sturridge imo
We need more pace and mobility up front.
If he does come in January then I don't think we will be doing much business at all in this transfer window, as it hints at a limited budget
It makes sense to me. Borini is awful, Balotelli has been unsurprisingly a dreadful signing and Lambert isn't suited to our style of football. Origi can't do any worse than than the two misfiring Italians, so I can see the sense in it.
I think we have to have one eye on the possibility that Sturridge will never be a striker we can rely upon due to his injuries. So he needs support from another top quality striker. Probably why we took an ill advised dip on Balotelli.
If we are leaving Origi where he is we need a striker like Lacazette or Jackson Martinez to be sure of getting goals. They come at premium prices but that's what we need right now to give us a chance of CL football next season.
Origi is not a player we can depend on at the moment.
I still think Balo will come good alongside Studge
he's definitely not cover to lead the line as a lone striker though
