I don't remember any one rating CC that highly. The best I've seen was McEachran, who I thought had done enough to deserve to be slowly integrated into the 1st team squad but all he got for his efforts was ignored and we've witnessed his career slide since.
It looks like Chalobah, who was also highly regarded, is also seeing his career disappear!
Was he? On the post match thread's on the forum I read he was identified a lot as the weak link, especially aftee the Steauna and Shaktar games.
Furthermore he has an annoying habit of letting the oppo makes too many crosses, hes even worse than Ivan in that regard.
Brummie, there was a few that rated him, some going as far as saying he could be our Gerrard.
Also with Chalobah, if he can't break into that abysmal Burnley team there's clearly something a miss.
Does that back up my comment about continual loans ruining a youngsters confidence then?
If you were talking about JM why would you compare him to Ivanovic?
Don't know why Chalobah went to a different club to Watford last season after a highly successful loan there the previous season.

I'll still watch them TLLL but I've given up hope on the club making an attempt into actually bringing any through in a Chelsea shirt!
The fact that RLC was supposed to be given some time in the Sporting game, only to watch Ramires come on at 75 minutes when we were 3-1 up in a game that made no difference if we'd lost anyway and then get five minutes at the end, spoke volumes to me!

Tbf he probably would've been useful in the squad since soon after he was sold we were reduced to hardly any wingers. Plus even look at the signing of Marin a couple years later - not much of a difference in standard there.

It doesn't matter where they are now. All these youngsters were hyped up to the max and had all the talent in the world but yet they're to be seen nowhere. We're not good at developing youngsters.
Where is Kalas after putting in a MOTM display away at Liverpool?
Again, disappointed with what happened to Kalas TLLL. That performance was very promising, and the reward - being farmed out!!

That is a very good example Sidey. Kalas was on our books with Omeruo and Christensen.
Yet we elected to pay over £12m, rather than put trust in one of our own!

The point is, if Stoch was this wonder kid that we cruelly denied chances too, then why didn't he show that at Fenebache? Why is he getting loaned all over the place from there?
Is the reason Clifford is a league two squad player instead of our captain because our coaches didn't come and give him his calpol at half time in games?
Funny how all these supposed world class youngster's we let go none come back to bite us by playing for a top European club (ala Pogba), infact remember when we released experience and tried to replace them with youth in 2010? A mistake that set us back years as we had to burn out already ageing first teamers when the management team realised the youngsters we promoted were nowhere near ready for the first team (4years later they still aren't)
Further more Kalas wasn't MOTM vs Liverpool, Schwarzer, Ivan or Matic was.
Also Tibo is a walking example to all our young player's that they WILL get a chance if they get to the level required.
Kings you keep mentioning Clifford but he's never as far as I've been concerned, considered on of our top prospects and a poor example to use.
Further more, I'm not really concerned who the MotM v Liverpool was - the lad had an excellent game against an attack that was on fire last season!
