Yes. That proud day when your fans impressed the nation with the classy pre-match signing.
oh is that what you choose to remember? Well I guess you wouldnt remember the match as you either left early or switched off the tele
I dont see why you are turning this into a Chelsea v Spurs thing. Is it because the Liverpool lads on here made you look foolish? Or maybe some Spurs supporters as well and you're looking for an out?

To be fair to Brenda just because he talks slowly it doesn't mean he is an intellectual giant. Clearly he isn't and I doubt he meant offence. He probably meant Pool had a 'different' strategy than Spurs. Spend £204m since he took over, buy 24 players, 20 of which are pony, balls up the retirement plans of Stevie G, drop out of the CL double quick time and so on. I think its a very bold strategy and one I hope he sticks with.

...£30m on Lamela
That's a total of 1 Premier League goal in 28 appearances over a season and a half...... £30m a goal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lamela actually cost 30m euros, about £23.5m, and I see you have conveniently ignored his assists, injuries and cameo sub appearances.
===========================
I see you have 'conveniently' talked sheight about his cost.....
"Roma claimed on Wednesday that the deal for 21-year-old Lamela, who has three international caps, is worth £25.7m.
It also includes up to £4.2m in bonus payments, taking Tottenham's spending to nearly £105m this summer."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23903926
So £25.7m + £4.2m = £29.9m

However, transfers of this magnitude are almost always paid via instalments over a period of time.
Consequently Spurs will not have paid the full amount (30m euros) at the Aug 2013 exchange rate, luckily for Spurs they will be paying the remainder of his fee at a lower exchange rate, making the overall fee less than £30m.
Which `in other words` makes your calculations quite stupid.

------------
Am not brill at maths but if £25.4m INCLUDES £4.2
Then his price is surely £21.2m PLUS (up to) £4.2m = £25.4.
Which indeed is less then 30 mill of any currency, no?

Yes a deal worth £25.7m which INCLUDES up to £4.2m in bonus payments, is well short of `about £30m`.

At the time of agreeing the Lamela deal with Roma the deal was worth £30m
Due to the Bale money coming in the deal was for outright payment.

Let's repeat that GOOD bit again...
"...30m euros that can potentially rise by another 5m euros..."
Yiddy looking ever the stupid rioter.
I admit I was wrong, but not as massively wrong as you
Epic fackin bin dipping fail (as usual)
The only thing you were wrong with you rétard is when you tried to look clever, just never gonna happen.
Here's a direct quote, put through Bing's translator from the A.S.Roma page....
"recognition of a fee of 30 million euros. The agreement also provides for the recognition of a variable fee, up to a maximum of EUR 5 million for bonuses linked "
Now I know you're simple so let me explain to you that when somebody says 'also' it means as well as, not part of.
"... fee of 30 million euros..." "...agreement also provides..." "...EUR 5 million for bonuses..."
Got that now you thíck fúcking rétard rioter.

http://www.exchangerates.org.uk/EUR-GBP-30_08_2013-exchange-rate-history.html
£25.6m + £4.3m = £29.9m
In other words about £30m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for your concern and going to all that effort to explain things
Very much appreciated
However, transfers of this magnitude are almost always paid via instalments over a period of time.
Consequently Spurs will not have paid the full amount (30m euros) at the Aug 2013 exchange rate, luckily for Spurs they will be paying the remainder of his fee at a lower exchange rate, making the overall fee less than £30m.
Which `in other words` makes your calculations quite stupid.

...£30m on Lamela
That's a total of 1 Premier League goal in 28 appearances over a season and a half...... £30m a goal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lamela actually cost 30m euros, about £23.5m, and I see you have conveniently ignored his assists, injuries and cameo sub appearances.
===========================
In other words about £30m
----------------------------------------------------------------------

------------
Am not brill at maths but if £25.4m INCLUDES £4.2
Then his price is surely £21.2m PLUS (up to) £4.2m = £25.4.
Which indeed is less then 30 mill of any currency, no?

Yes a deal worth £25.7m which INCLUDES up to £4.2m in bonus payments, is well short of `about £30m`.

30m euros that can potentially rise by another 5m euros if certain targets are met.
In other words £23.5m that could potentially rise to £27.4m.
In other words, quite a bit less than about £30m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly you are quite stupid so i'll try and make this as simple as you.
If you paid Euro30m for him now then it would come to £23.5m because the exchange rate is 1 EUR = 0.7811 GBP
But you didn't.
You paid Euro30m for him on 30 August 2013 when the exchange rate was 1 EUR = 0.853 GBP
Euro30m for him then came to Approx £25.6m
Euro5m for Add ons then came to Approx £4.3m
<A href="http://www.exchangerates.org.uk/EUR-GBP-30_08_2013-exchange-rate-history.html" rel=nofollow target=_blank>http://www.exchangerates.org.uk/EUR-GBP-30_08_2013-exchange-rate-history.html</A>

At the time of agreeing the Lamela deal with Roma the deal was worth £30m
Due to the Bale money coming in the deal was for outright payment.
Which `in other words` makes your attempt at backpeddling VERY stupid.
