Yeah I think you're about right on the whole, however seems generous on Diaby and Joel Campbell who contribute next to nothing and maybe a little harsh on Monreal and Debuchy.

Hard on Chambers but overrating Sczezny (6) and Kosielny(7) imo. Sanchez is one of those you can rate at 8.5 or 9 but Ozil and Cazorla not so highly.

i have based the rating on the players ability, not the contributions.

Depends what you are rating them on, xiuxiuejar.

Cazorla was superb his first season then shunted out wide when Ozil came, no surprise he struggled from then on.

In general when he's played through the middle he's been very good.

Ozil probably agree is also a little generous, but has time to turn his Arsenal career round.

Chambers has done alright, but the other two are still a bit better for now.

Weird ratings for a lot of the players.

How can you give Gnabry, Campbell and Diaby higher marks than Flamini and Monreal. Plus, as Chris already pointed out, Debuchy only gets a 6?

In general the ratings are VERY fair and Cazorla is a very good player. But Sanchez is by far and away wyour best player IMO. I also think Chambers - IF Wenger stays with him, will be a superb player - he's at least a 6.

i feel gnabry, campbell, and diaby in their respective positions are better footballers, than what flamini and monreal are in their positions.

its just opinion

posted on 10/1/15

Campbell a better winger than Monreal is a full back? Very fanciful imo

Personally I prefer to rate players on what they do on the pitch for the team and, by defalt, the club.

Each to their own though, I guess.

to be fair, monreal and chambers could have a 6, but i have already done it now, so im not gna make the changes

Your rating of Debuchy appears to be based on his form when coming back from injury. When match sharp hes easily better than a 6.

Gitoud a 7? Its no secret I don't particularly like his style of play and think it hinders the team. I would say a 6 at best and that's only because he looks better since coming back from injury. If you were going to base it ion his ability to run at goal he would get about 1 or 2, but on his ability to hold the ball up Id say 7 is ok (although he tends to let defenders get back behind the ball when doing this imo). Cant be bothered to go into detail on others but you think Sanogoal is as good or better than Monreal, Chambers, Bellerin, Flamini, Martinez and Coq. I disagree.

everyone has their opinion i am gooner now, its the reason of this website, but yes, and about debuchy, he could get a 6.5 if i was doing it like that, but i kept it to a simple number.

posted on 10/1/15

Yes, that's why I gave my opinion. Even managers in the PL disagree so why wouldn't we be able to?

Can I just ask one question. What would you give for Sagna (based on last season) and I will remind you that during this time Debuchy was easily keeping Sagna out of the France team.

posted on 10/1/15

Not much wrong with that. I'd put Debuchy, Sanchez and Walcott up one.

Sanchez has to be a 9, i'd like to see the 9s and 10s of this league if hes only an 8. Theo gets an 8 cos he guarantees goals. Plus he really stepped it up a notch before his injury.

No point of Campbell or Diaby.

Debuchy going forward ,yes going forward he is better than sagna, but for me in the premier league, you need that defensive stability that sagna gives you, sagna would just shade it but not for much. get a 7.

And lets be honest, when he was with us, all our fans would say he is arguably the best right back in the prem

Goalkeepers

- Szcezcny - 7/10 - Needs to sort out his attitude and decision making. Could be a solid 8/10 in the future.
- Ospina - 7/10 - Just as good as Woj atm. His record in France speaks for itself.
- Martinez - 5/10 - Youngster, potential. Done a job when needed.

Score - 19/30

Centre Backs

- Koscienly - 8/10
- Mertesacker - 6.5/10
- Chambers - 5.5/10 - Lots of potential.

Score - 20/30 - Need a 7.5/10 CB to complete.

Full Backs

- Debuchy - 7/10 - Very solid.
- Gibbs - 7/10 - Looks like he is pretty much finished developing. Similar to Clichy which is ok.
- Bellerin - 5/10 - Lots of potential. Should loan out with Jenks (6/10) as back up.
- Monreal - 6/10 - Good enough back up. Also covers CB if we are desperate

Score - 25/40 - We are good in these positions.

Defensive Midfielders

-Arteta- 6.5/10 - Great distribution. Keeps the ball moving but lacks any real physicality.
- Flamini - 4/10 - Not. Good. Enough.
- Coquelin - 5.5/10 - Okay as 3rd choice.

Score - 16/30 - Shocking. Need to get rid of Flamini and get in a beast 8/10 DM.

Box -to- Box

-Ramsey- 7/10 - Could be 8/10 with some discipline and consistency.
- Wilshere - 7/10 - Same as Rambo
- Diaby - 6/10 - Just let him go. Guy might have been our next Vieira but we will never know.

Score - 20/30 - We only need 2 in the squad and we only need one on the pitch. Hopefully the two Brits can overcome their injuries.

Attacking Midfielders

-Ozil- 8.5/10 - World class when utilised properly with pace around him. Just needs some confidence.
Cazorla - 8/10 - Magician. Nearly as talented as Mesut but he is red hot right now.
Rosicky - 6.5/10 - On the wane but still a great squad player. Injuries stopped him from having a brilliant career.

Score- 23/30 - Very good. Never really been an issue.

Wingers

Sanchez - 8.5/10 - World Class. 100%. That is all.
Walcott - 7.5/10 - Pace and end product. One of the deadliesnt players in the league. Good to see him back.
Chamberlain - 7/10 - Like Jack/Aaron could be an 8/10 in the future. Needs to work on end product.
Campbell - 6/10 - Do know what he has to offer. Needs to be given more of a chance. Could be good as a squad player.
Gnabry - 6/10 - Soo much talent. Must get over injuries.

Score - 35/50 - Very very strong.

Strikers

- Giroud - 7/10 - Offers a lot to the attacking unit. Lacks pace is all. Great as a plan B/second choice.
- Welbeck- 7/10 - Lots of running. Must work on finishing. Could be 20 goals a season for us.
- Sanogo- 5/10 - Loan him.

19/30 - We only need 3 strikers but we need one to be 8/10. Unless Welbeck can improve we might have been wrong to sign him.

Need a CB and a DM... but we all knew that anyway.

posted on 10/1/15

You guys are harsh, Sanchez is a 9 debuchy is a 7. Rambo is pushing an 8 based on the fact that on form he is the best midfielder in the league and one of the best of all players

posted on 10/1/15

Ramsey's form of last year seems an age away! No reason he can't get back to it though. Really hope he turns into our Gerrard/Lampard, we need a Mr Arsenal.

posted on 10/1/15

How can you give Welbeck the same score as Walcott? Sorry but Welbeck is no where useful for us as is Walcott. Welbeck is lucky to be a 6. But most of them I think are fair. Maybe Alexis is a 9, can't really get much better in the league than him.

So, on average our team is...

_________6__________
5.5------6-------6-------6
_____7_____5________
8______8_______7_____
________6____________

Seems about right, tbf.
