So much of the Giroud bating stems from the fact he was overplayed last season and was playing on empty at times. He is not a bad player but maybe is not your archetypal Arsenal player.

Ox decision making at times is poor. Rosicky made a great run and was free. He should have played him in.

I've been very positive about him this season. He's had a couple of very poor games but on the whole looks vastly improved, both physically and also technically.

Not everything has to be an agenda where you pick a side and stick with it.

Giroud was awful first season, one of the worst first choice strikers I've seen for us.

Improved slightly second season but still miles behind where we needed our striker to be at

So far this season he's looked good.
