Was Stiverne Drugged?

Weird.

But in truth it was a totally different fight to what Stiverne had been prepared for.

No way were they expecting Wilder to box and fight a fairly sensible fight. No way.

Stiverne was expecting Wilder to come at him like a bull in a chinashop.

Stiverne was chasing Wilder for most of the fight trying to get inside and failing for the most part. His work rate would have been much higher than he anticipated.

That would certainly lead to dehydration.

You get water from your corner, an you think he would be hydrated before the fight.

Hahahah how would this be haymons fault? Haymon is trying to make bixing like the if UFC but on free tvthat has to be good for boxing no? As for him drugging someone are you mentally stable?

Haymon knows the value of a American Champ.

I don't understand how he got severely dehydrated.

Unless foul play was at hand.

Haven't watched much of Stiverne prior to this fight but he didn't impress me much. He didn't look much better than Derek Chisora in truth although maybe that's a tad harsh.

He wouldn't stand a prayer against Klitschko so it's better that he is no longer WBC Champ.

Vlad is probably gutted that Stiverne lost. Not saying that Wilder will beat Vlad if they fight but Stiverne would be a very easy night for him.

Stivern had that muscle injury syndrome that can be deadly.. maybe dehydration played into it.. not sure why he'd be dehydrated as he didn't have to make weight, did he?

Boxers have suffered with dehydration in the past, but that was down to them cutting a lot of weight.

Stiverne had a couple of great fights against Arreola.

Wilder boxed well, was composed, stuck to his game plan, showed he wasn't glass jawed and glimpses of his power.

But still Stiverne being "Severely Dehydrated" why?

I don't think that Stiverne was anticipating that he'd have to work as hard as he had to in the fight.

Stiverne was preparing for a war but he didn't get one. Instead he found himself getting outboxed and having to constantly chase down Wilder who kept him at distance.

That would be enough to exhaust anyone. A bit like in football when the opposition team always have the ball and you're constantly having to close them down to try and win it back.

Wilder played him from start to finish I thought. All the way from the pre-fight talk up until the end of the fight.

Maybe haymon took him on a night out the night before and got him smashed that would explain the dehydrated part, knew haymon was at fault just a shame he wasn't known as much when Briggs was champ as he could've drugged the klitchkos aswell

So Stiverne is "claiming" he was dehydrated.. Has there been any medical proof released which backs him up?

If not, then he's just making excuses for getting his erse handed to him.

Guv's been drugged judging by the Mayweather Pacquiao thread

Yes there is medical proof.
He was treated for it at hospital after the fight?

Rather convenient, it happened in this fight

I've been to the hospital/a&e before thinking I had a broken foot, turns out I'd just chipped the bone.

Just because he went to the hospital doesn't mean he actually had something wrong. Could just be a hypochondriac? Or he could just be looking for an excuse, hence his wee trip to the docs for a sick note?

Just a suggestion.
