Interesting study - don't know why it is been bashed by many.

I have never bought a football shirt or any club-affiliated merchandise in my life and will never buy one;so it doesn't concern me in the slightest.

Not even a mug or a key ring or anything? I've got a CFC 'tobacco' tin which comes in handy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope. Then again, i try not to wear anything that has any writing/ embroidery/ designer label/ brands etc.

When i had my daughter, friends and families gave me some gifts - onesies and the like- with things like 'daddy's little girl', 'best auntie' etc and i gave it all to the Charity shop.

Admittedly, it takes a monastic level of dedication but i refuse to be a walking billboard!

When you buy a car do you take off everything that tells passers by the make and model of the car including the company logo?

He means in the Fritzel sense.

Red - are you Neil out of the young ones?

Btw, you'd note i said that 'i try not to wear'...of course, it is nigh impossible these days to not own something ostentatiously branded. I type on a macbook, own two iPads etc but when i am walking on the street, there is no signifier on me!

Jay you should ask for 606 to have a grindr app or something. Or just have a chat with Ilori.

Seeing as i am an unapologetic meat-eater and not a pacifist, nope.

The question, to me, is, what is the appeal of the conspicuous logo or the conspicuously branded item ? To telegraph that you're wearing something expensive? To signal you're in the right clique, a member of a club wearing the right clothes? Neither strikes me as appealing.

If not those options, then what?

As Red_Cog is married with kids, he obviously eats beef curtains, with the occasional prawn. You eat sausages with mayonnaise.

I'm with you red to be fair. Although I do like my classic trainers and retro sergios and so on. Also collect Fred Perry stuff.

Those massive Gergio Armani logos and stuff though are awful. Or those Ralphs with the absolutely massive polo player on it that are out now.
