It will be infuriating if he leaves. Frankly Wenger bought Sanogo without giving Akpom a chance. Then he looked great in pre-season and it was all too late because we had Sanogo. I hope sending Sanogo out on loan clears the deck for Akpom and he realises that!
We need to keep him.
Arsene policy is buy young sell or losewhen they are on their peak.
Can’t see this happening as Akpom’s first team chances will be no better at Liverpool.
At a guess this info may have been put in the public domain by Akpom’s representatives in an attempt to obtain better terms with AFC.

He looked decent in his cameo against Brighton, and like jenius99 rightly observed did well in pre-season.
Agreed the shifting of Podolski, Campbell and the postman should signal to him that his time will come in an Arsenal eleven.
A few days ago I read that Dortmund were very interested in him too and this is probably why Wenger is bringing him into the match day squad to encourage him that he still has a future at the cub.
Sad if he does go but understandable as he must feel that he hasn't had the same chances as Sanogo was given.
Why would he go to liverpool who at the moment are inferior to Arsenal in every way?

Why? Game time. Could start in front the three clowns-Lambert, Borini and trainhardertelli the dippers call strikers.

Sturridge, Ballotelli, Sterling, Borini, Lambert, and Origi, all reasons why Liverpool would be a poor option for Akpom.

Borini & Lambert's days are numbered, Balotelli doesn't look like he's going to be there for long either, Sterling is a winger who has been up front due to the absence of Sturridge and Lambert/Borini's lack of goals. Sturridge is always injured.
The only players he'd be competing with would be Origi and Sturridge (who is unreliable when it comes to injuries).
It is more than feasible why he would want to go there.
That said, I would like him to stay and I think he should.

I had mentioned earlier that I believe this is simply a ploy to gain the best possible terms at AFC.
I know that Feyenoord and Dortmund had also "expressed an interest" but I know he his highly thought of by our coaching staff.
Spurs and United also in for him.
Truth is Arsenal will be a better option for him than Liverpool. Wenger is known to give young players a chance and is already brining him into the matchday squad in place of Podolski and Campbell who have gone on loan.
But we do need to sign Akpom and Coq to long term contracts whether they are going to make it or not. At least we might get a transfer fee if they don't make it for all the effort put into developing them. I'd much rather see them make at Arsenal it though.

The problem with that is Akpom hasn't really got any game time. All another club has to do is make promises and his head will be turned. With Arsenal facts speak louder than words.
At the moment I would say it is very much 50/50 if he will be here next season.
I really hope he doesn't leave.
The problem is that Wenger seems to, at present, rate at least 3 strikers ahead of him (Giroud, Welbeck, and Sanogo) - and has even opted to play Sanchez in the false 9 role on occasion - in a system that only operates with one striker.
Liverpool may also have a few good striking options, but Rodgers seems to prefer the diamond formation (obviously, he's been playing with the 343 recently, but that may be due to a lack of striking options - remains to be seen) which may afford Akpom more opportunities to play.
