It will never happen.
It's not the ST's that are the issue. it's the being forced to buy cup tickets that have nothing to do with the PL games that irks people.
You can opt out of the league cup if you want to at start but FA cup you can't.
I hope one day it does though. It isn't really fair if I'm honest if people are being blackmailed to go to games.
There really is no reason or season tickets any more.
With the size of our fan base in Surrey alone we could still fill the stadium against the lesser teams. People who couldn't normally have a chance to go to games will be able to do so.
It would bring clubs closer together as well. Teams like Burnley will always fill out their stadium. Teams like City, Chelsea, United etc won't against teams like Leicester at home.
They obviously won't generate the same revenue because of the stadium size and all of them teams would get at least 40,000 but I'm sure a club like Burnley would seemingly get closer to United over years if they keep (very slightly) catching up with their money from revenue.

Some games they apparently have added as many as 10k to the actual attendance figures.

Dont know about other teams but Chelsea have sold out PL games no matter who against for 20 years. I love my season ticket. I go to watch chelsea, no matter who they play against, And have earned that right. Could you imagine the headache every week having to go by a loyalty point scheme to log online to get tickets for the weekends game? having to book travel and stuff without knowing whether you will get tickets? nonsense
