I mentioned buying players...But haven't said who...
Sneaky me!
Here's my wishlist, please add so we can all dream:
Strikers:
1. Charlie Austin
2. Demba Ba
3. Jay Rodriguez (out but soon to be back from injury)
Defenders
========
1. Jose Fonte
2.Nicolas Otamendi
Anyone else?

Keep this guy as far away from the Spurs transfer committee as possible please !

we should have gone for Cabaye and Lacazette
=======================
Is Cabaye better than Erikssen?
I don't think so. I'd rather we get a goal getter. trust me Austin is one. And so is Demba Ba or Pappa Cisse. Rodriguez suits Pocho style and what would happen if Pocho did get him, on the last day of this transfer?
Wouldn't surprise me a bit!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cabaye is a CM, he wouldn't compete with Eriksen...
Blimey, with those mentioned forwards you seem like a big fan of midtable strikers

Well at least they perform as opposed to your foreign expensive ones that miss 1 yard chances!

Nobody is saying Soldado is good enough either
But the likes of Ba, Austin, Cisse are midtable players at best

He wasn't though, was he? He was sitting on the bench
Konop and Ings would do for me.
Dembele and Stambouli (apart from the Palace nightmare) have stepped up recently, so I'm happy with CM.
Would like a CB, but no idea who.
I do hope Spurs sign the players morespurs listed.
My list ( over next two windows)
Moreno or Vlarr
Konoplynka
Benteke
Ings
Dele Ali ( young lad from MK Dons, have previously written about him, one for the future )
And if we wanna spend big I'd also like Depay
Guys
Hate to pick on another Spurs fans...But please realise this:
I also have a dream wishlist that includes world class strikers but I am not a a dreamer.
Look at Bale, he became a very good player and enhanced his name and then left us. Modric did the same. Berba too.
Berba too.
I am sure Kane would too. Same as Lloris.
We have to face it. We don't provide CL footy every season like Arsenal do.
Sanchez given a straight choice would take them over us.
Simply because we don't get to CL.
I wasn't given you my best of the best list. Just people who'll get us over the line for now. They'll hit the ground running.
You laugh at Demba Ba but at WHL, he single handedly nearly destroyed us!
Also we have been linked with Ings. Is he not a mid table striker?
So why are we going for him?

Every year without fail people fall for these average players at lower clubs who have decent seasons
Well I never
It seems like we are second in the MOTD running schedule

I think you have to take each player on their merits. Southampton were an average team a couple of seasons ago.. young players improve.. as we've seen to our benefit..
There's no guarantees in football, though through proper scouting and buying to suit what the coach is trying to do, you can improve your chances.
For all my frustrations I trust Levy to conduct business in the best way possible, hiring Mitchell from Southampton shows me he's learned from the mistakes he let Baldini make..
My wish list:
Benteke
Konoplyanka/Depay

No, Bony is obviously a good player
I'm talking about the ones who are clearly having one-off seasons or are just limited players

About time you came back waanker where you been?
That really was a shocking 'wish list' even for one that would be realistic!
what is the point in trying to shift players who are 'ok' but could get us over the line as you put it, and then signing ones that are 'ok to get us over the line'?
Austin could prove me wrong, but don't think he'll last, reminds of when Gary Hooper was hitting the headlines and plays like him too.
The only good signings that a club of our financial pulling power could get this window are ones that refused to sign a new contract and their club wants to cash in on now. (I really don't follow other clubs that closely to know who they are....but that doesn't matter as I don't have to sign them)
Other than that, the squad we have now have less games to play, got us to a good league position and are looking like Poch's coaching is paying off, into a Final, and through in Europe.
If we have to ride it now with what we've got then it's not the end of the world over replacing squad fillers with more squad fillers.

I'm just saying you can't tell sometimes. Bony had one really good season in Holland and Swansea took a punt.
We have to look for similar under the radar signings.

Yes scouting helps but there's always an element of risk, especially considering we haven't got CL or the money to attract world class players.
