A very good striker is a must. They don't come cheap nowadays though but with Sturridge's injury record the club can't afford to take any more chances. Hopefully a situation doesn't arise next season where we're again forced to play Sterling as the central striker because despite the stellar job he's done there that's not his position.

Agree regarding the keeper situation. Mignolet has shown very positive signs in the last few weeks and I don't think its a coincidence this has come with the three man defence looking very solid and Sakho showing real world class temperament, tackling and heading ability during this period. The boy should be the focal point of our defence for the next 5 years. However a new keeper should still be brought in as far too often this season Mignolet has looked like a rabbit caught in headlights often failing against crosses and balls into the area.

New keeper, rcb, dm

We need to go all out to buy a quality striker who can play off Sturridge, but can also play the lone striker if he gets injured. That won't be cheap, but it's crucial.

Sandro wasnt dross before his injury in fairness

Almost 10m for naughton and fryers as opposed nearly 3m for Kelly and Robinson? Makes no sense to me. Sandro wasn't dross tbf but if we sell lucas who is the better player imo always was, rumours were what 6/7m not that long back? I think we'd get 5m for him because we have no balls in the negotiation department.

Anyway players can turn it round so theres still hope for Lovren and Balotelli if they put the work in, just have to look at Sakho he was shunned out by Rodgers too.

I disagree about Can being a short term solution, especially if Brendan envisages playing this system and tailoring the squad accordingly, then he fits it perfectly. He (and Sakho have been excellent)

A striker is a must, as is a new keeper. Although Mignolet has turned his form around and is playing well, we still need an alternative to him and Jones.

Once Gerrard leaves we will also need a new central midfielder imo

Lucas was awful and out of the team, hence low price, might get abit more now, need to improve on him if we want to go up

Theres a lot of positives in the squad though Sterling, Studge, Lallana, Coutinho, Ibe, Markovic, Can, Hendo, Sakho, Moreno, Flanno, Wisdom, Ilori, Origi. Its exciting the prospect of them all getting better together. We could just do with adding 1/2 real quality players to them each year now we've got numbers and continue promoting youth and using the loan system/free transfers when needed.

Think coutinho is going to be inestias replacement in a year or two

Mig might have improved but he is no number one keeper for a club who will hope to challenge for title next season.

Number one priority is keeper followed by a top striker. Would also love Clyne from Southampton but United are also after him.

There's a turn up for the books, you being pessimistic....

Migs improved but hes still not a keeper for a top 4 challenging side let alone title challenging one. Depends if we make Manquillos loan permanent if so then Flannagan/Manquillo should be enough, maybe a little inexperienced.

Do you get annoyed when people mention raheem and madrid?

Icardi from inter!

Where we can improve is from set pieces. Without Gerrard we posed no threat at all from direct free kicks. I would like to see a player who can score goals from those situations and preferably a high profile player to show we mean business.

With Gerrard leaving I feel a new top midfielder is a priority. We have Lucas, Hendo after that Can is still young and may end up playing a different position altogether. If we can find a buyer for Allen he should be sold. Been here a while and lets be honest we need more. His place should be taken by a new midfielder.

Depends if the 3 at the back is staying.

We need better options for wing back on both sides if it is. Enrique is probably a goner and Markovic is not really a wing back, so Moreno will need some competition.

We need to see Flanagan back at given a go at wing back and right side centre to see how he looks, likewise Wisdom.

I see Lovren as Skrtels back up now. He isn't good enough in possession to be on the sides but the central role should suit him.

Allen could well find himself surplus so with Gerrard departing we will need more in midfield.

We appear well stocked for the two roles off the forward with Sterling, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana and Ibe.

I don't think Ilori even enjoys following Liverpool. Laughs at our players, our transfer policy, our targets, our results.

Personally I think we need a goal scoring midfielder. Henderson has the range of passing, Countinho has the skills, neither will hit many goals though.

I would say we need another striker and a CM. Can, Skrtel and Sakho have all been excellent the past two months but I can't see a future for our younger players on loan. I do think Lovren will come good though despite his performances.

In terms of a RB I have a lot of time for Flanno and he is a gifted passer of the ball which is important but a lot depends on the formation we will be playing in the future. I think the 3 CB's and the cover it affords our wing backs is good under Rodgers as a flat four gets exposed time and time again. BR has let in more than a goal a game at every club he has managed and now we're keeping clean sheets. It also means the ball gets recycled through Mig less as there is another passing option square for the CB and lets' face it his feet are mince.

I would like another option at DM as Lucas, who has played as well as any defensively minded midfielder this season, cannot play all the games.

I keep mentioning the HG rule since the interest in Ings. For Allen I think this means he stays.

I'd rather pay a fine than keep Allen in the squad to maintain HG quota..
