I think you'd have been well served getting rid of Lambert and getting Pulis in. As it is now, I don't see who's going to come in and save you.

But something needs to change, Villa are a beaten team these days.

You should get Sherwood in. He'll give the players the kick up the arris that they need. You get the impression Lambert doesn't do that enough, and possibly why he got Keane in.

I wouldn't mind sherwood spurtle, I think he did ok for u guys. Anything has to be better then this. I'm just shocked that we aren't even in the relegation zone.

Frankly, just getting anyone in at this stage would serve you better than Lambert, if nothing else but for the 'new manager effect' that may impact on the players.

Good news is there are more than 2 strong candidates other than yourselves to go down.

I think hull and Qpr are gone. Last spot could be anyone and at current form looks like us.

If you think that holte then you should be hopeful, seeing as Leicester are 2 points worse off than those 2.

Malkay Mackay would be a good shout.

Can it get worse? Yep... in the sense that we're not yet in the drop zone. And the three teams currently in the drop zone are the prime candidates to drop. Unless we do them a favour, which unfortunately is what we seem to be thinking about.

Rule number one when playing Arsenal; never try to outplay them, because they are loads better than we are. We should have been set up to keep it tight. We weren't.

I don't think Richardson was any better than Cissokho would have been at right back. Westwood should have been playing from the start; he and Sanchez form a decent defensive pair, Sanchez on his own has too much to do. That would have allowed Weimann to play further forwards.

Three have already come in to save you:

Harry, Steve and Nigel

As an Arsenal fan I was there today, Paul Lambert is delusional, he counted a quarter chance as one they should have scored from - it's ridiculous.

Villa created one good headed chance in the first chance that Ospina saved well, and one chance with a good shot from a poor clearance in the 92nd minute when 5-0 down that Ospina pushed over the bar.

Other than that Villa's attacking chances were almost nil, they were ballooning the ball up to nobody for Ospina to just pick up...

I'm not for sacking manager's willy-nilly but Paul Lambert seems to be clueless.

Lambert is a very poor managert imo. How he still has a job i'll never know.

Another tactical donkey is now available, Stuart Pearce.

You would look back and think Lambert was not that bad if you ever had Pearce as your manager.

Short answer? The first 4 games of the season.
Villa got 10 points.

Then they got shafted by the fixture list.

Then hung on to that useless gaffer.

Since when they've got 12 points from 19 games.

I dont want Villa to go down. But on current form, at 0.6 points a game, with 15 games to go... they are going to get 32 points.

Ouch!
