Luiz was a good sale.
Mata - I am not sure as Oscar's form is hit and miss and our midfield really struggles with goals and he was a also a good free kick taker.
Schurlle never got a run and Cuadrado hasnt even kicked a ball for us
Jp, for sure you could make a case for each of these players, but i really think its about the squad Jose is building.
Oscars work rate is far ahead of anything Mata offered.
Cuadrado is a quality player ,more of a utility player than Schurrle
Is it me or are we actually negotiating proper deals these days?
Since the lovely lady took over we seem to be playing proper hardball with the Clubs who try to sell us theirs or take our players.
In the early Abramovich years it did look to me like we seemed to be a bit of a soft touch when buying OR selling. We didn't seem to mind paying over the odds for a player or giving a player away for fack all, that we spent a lot on getting. Money appeared to be no object.
Now with ffp fully in and decent negotiators in place we are no pushovers in the transfer market and long may it continue.
The days of the price automatically going up tenfold, once it is known that Mr. A is buying - is over.
I don't think we had to sell Mata, I would have preferred to have kept Luiz too but the fee was to generous. Luiz and Matic with Cesc just ahead would have been a great midfield.
Mata just doesn't fit the way we play.
Oscar has scored more than Mata this season.

Luiz is an awful footballer
All that wedge for Luiz. No brainer.
Tco, isn't the point that Jose is building a squad.
Matic and Fabregas cost the club 65m , luis and Mata went for 87m, i think we have improved and being FFP compliant

Depends how you use him
When I saw Cahill come on as DM last Saturday thats when you miss Luiz
Summer, It unbelievable really how far we as club have come in the last 45 years.
Marina Granoskiava is the no non sense face if Cfc today, totally ruthless in the board room and in our transfer dealings
Don't call her Iron drawers for nothing
Luiz was good at DM, He played there in the big games and we won those games, Coincidence?
Iffy
Amen to that brother.
Luiz, nice player, inconsistent , sometimes match winner, prone to making costly mistakes, now if he were Pogba i would be up in arms
If Pogba didn't wouldn't cost £60M+ we probably would have snapped him up already.
Chelsea’s transfer market wizardry has them firmly in control of FFP

Don , i really believe we are one of the best run clubs in the world football today, amazing really in 2010 i was very uneasy about Roman and his policy, all i could envisage was another 1 bln investment.
Ive always been very positive to Roman, and did believe he was an exceptional business man with a real passion for the game and his club CFC, but by 2010 i was genuinely concerned we were running out of managers and were bordering on chaotic .
But i felt it changed in fact the night we the won Champions league in Munich, we seemed vindicated.
I could go on ,but the truth is Roman and the club have learned from its mistakes and today run the club with a synergy between the football & business.
