So you know the exact details? Actually it was 'performance related add ons', which includes success as well as appearances.

Knowing united they probably still ended up paying close to it

Either way point stands, a terrible signing

Utd are going to spend about £150m this summer. January is not the time to buy. They will be the biggest spenders in the world this summer just watch this space.

I know the details based on what was widely reported at the time, which is more than can be said for your details.

You made a mistake, it happens.

How did you work that one out?

It was on BBC Radio this morning

Bbc saying 400k per minute. Lads got talent though and all clubs make some stinkers

The cost of essentially a 12 month loan is getting close to the total of what we lost on Carroll
..

Also this is way off

They basically Utd paid Zaha £8-9m to sleep with Moyes daughter

Not really if you include loan fees that we got. As said though all clubs make stinkers

We paid £10m up front with an extra £5m depending on appearances.

Was that optional add ons?

You got a £2m loan fee, sold him for £15m, so essentially you lost £18m.

Unless there's another loan fee I've missed out.

I'd hazard a guess it was quite a bit less than 400k a minute. Just take it on the chin, we've had to on numerous occasions

I don't think I've claimed it wasn't a poor buy, just questioning Neo's Maths.

I can't understand why people get involved with t!t for tat arguments over how much their clubs have lost, wasted or have been ripped off and get all defensive.

It's not your own money, who cares.

Can't believe t it is a banned word.

Tom Cleverley is probably available, I think they'd get him for £800m.

Like it. Get another title winner in the side like Balotelli

We've made a loss on Zaha, but its not anywhere near the laughable £8-9m that has been mentioned. All in all it will be a sub £4m loss. But a loss non the less. A gamble on potential that didn't work out.

You don't need an established defender?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Conceded 2 in the last 6 (both to Chelsea). Seems like the defence is doing ok right now. Even Mignolet is looking like he might actually really be a goalkeeper after all!

I'm glad you've come along and cleared it up for us. Could you just let us know where you got your figures from, and how you have info the BBC don't have access to? Thanks
