It's incredibly how much that side of our game has suddenly turned around!
Formation change, Can, Sakho and Lucas have been integral to that.
Is Lucas gonna be fit for the weekend? Also any news on Lazar & Lallana?
"Bolton's best chance looked to be exploiting Liverpool's occasional frailty at set pieces..." (BBC)
See how they've slipped that 'occasional' in... Wouldn't have been there a few weeks back!..
Great to see, though - the new formation is looking solid, and I've got a feeling Sakho has the potential to become a legend of Biscan-esque proportions.
Lucas will be fit according to The Echo last night.
Don't know on Lazar and Lallana.
Lallana wouldn't start anyway, and I wouldn't mind seeing Ibe get a chance ahead of Lazar, see what he can do.
Lucas is the one we really need so that's good but be nice to have a bench with quality to come on.
Lazar would get lost in the frantic battle that is the Derby so it's no problem him being out.
Key man is Lucas, he knows what it's all about - must start.
If Lucas is in at start can't Gerrard play in an advanced role?
Don't think Gerrard should play. Personal opinion, his last Derby, he'll play more with his heart than with his head.

Not sure, do indirect header free kick goals count as being in open play? If so Ivanovic's was the last one.
Likewise Akinfenwa's was from a corner so is that in open play?

Convinced we would have kept another clean sheet had it not been for that dreadful refereeing decision, annoying that's the way the run of clean sheets had to end.
I wouldn't call Ivanovics goal open play.
It was just a header from a free-kick wasn't it? Surely counts as a set piece goal conceded.

So a goal from a corner doesn't count as set piece conceded unless the corner goes straight in the net?
Sorry, disagree.
Its a set piece goal. We conceded a set piece goal.

It isn't what I would use as standard.
I would consider a set piece goal to be a corner, penalty, free-kick, in the first phase, so if a corner is cleared and then scored, it's open play, if a corner is crossed and headed in, it's part of the set piece.
I would imagine this is standard for stats purposes, otherwise no teams would have stats for goals conceded from a corner as separate from open play.

They usually are when people are talking about goals conceded though.
