Ok i have been far too negative over the last few weeks ,so i am predicting a 2-0 win for the Brewers with Akins scoring both goals .

We have a poor record at Whaddon Road. Paul Buckle has brought 3 strikers in during the window as well as others, not a guarantee of success but he has had to act quickly to bring his own players in.

Cheltenham 1 - 2 Brewers

As it's an away match, I'll go for Blyth to score first.

Cheltenham 0 - 1 Brewers (Akins)

Remember our last visit to Whaddon Road at the start of last season. The BBC announced the score as 3-2 to the Brewers - even though it had finished 2-2!

Time to right the wrong, so 3-2 to the boys today. Ivan Calero to be a sensation, but with the race to be top scorer opened up after Macca's departure, the outsider on the rails has to be 'golden boots' Phil Edwards to score first

Being optimistic, though Cheltenham could be a tricky one and am predicting a 2-1 win for the Albion with Akins to score first.

I think we will win 3-1 and Beavon will score the first. I also think he will get another with Calero bagging the other one.

I forgot to add to my earlier post, my missus chose '28' as the first goalscorer for Don Touched My Boots which would have been Lenihan. Or Slade. Or Harness.
