Didn't Bale have an equally poor start as Suarez is having now? My memory is hazy but I thought GB got something like 3 goals in 18 games then just come alive from nowhere?
Nah Bale had a good start to his Madrid career but got injured a lot but when he played he did well. He done well most of last season, but the Madrid fans are so fickle that they booo a player who helped win them the CL and Copa Del Rey.
Wasn't he stating to get questioned a bit before his Copa Del Rey winner...

I almost feel sorry for him, he got his dream move and it's gone sour already. Almost..
If he'd stayed loyal for just a few more seasons he could've gone there as Ronaldo's replacement rather than having the direct comparison.
Not sure why the fans don't like him though. Has he not made the effort to learn Spanish?

RM and Barca fans are a notoriously tough crowd - I think it was at the end of last season the Barca fans booed Neymar for shooting from 25 yards rather than lay Messi in - despite the fact they were 4-0 and Neymar had scored already!

Maybe wrong but I always get the impression that the Spanish Fans or Media will always turn on the British player when things go wrong, not that they have actually gone that wrong they are still top of the league FFS!!

It's true all over though, Spurs fans call rm and Barca fans spoilt but then fans of lower league sides could easily aim the same accusation at Spurs fans (or United fans)
Higher expectations = more spoilt fans.
I think about Players like Ledley King who although only won a league cup is a hero to Spurs fans and would be welcome at the club for the rest of his life. Then you look at someone like Campbell who won the medals but is not really welcome anymore, the Arsenal fans sort of tolerate him, he will never be a legend at any club because he is a disloyal idiot.
Personally I think i would rather be a legend at a club and be loved forever rather than medals and not really having a home, thats why Alan Shearer will never regret joining Newcastle over Man U.

Real Madrid fans booed Ronaldo when he was having a bad game. They're the biggest club in the World and have incredibly high standards, I'm sure Bale will shrug it off and continue to demonstrate his class in seasons to come.
Real Madrid fans have to be the biggest tos.sers in the world, they are like little kids in the a toyshop, always want the next best thing, and then throw it away as soon as they see the next must have. They really do behave like spoilt brats.
Compare their booing of Bale, who has been pretty good for them to the way the Spurs fans treat Soldado, who just has not done it, but they still clap him and chant his name. It is called class.
They don`t deserve the best players in the world Real, and I have a loathing for that club now, when I used to really love them in the late 50s and early 60s.

Atletico were THE team in Madrid until the King decided he wanted his OWN team and went after many of Atleticos players due to their performances/results and his (the countries!) wealth. Hence 'Real' (Royal) Madrid.
I'm glad you enjoyed them at the time though

As if somehow being 'real' (royal) Madrid added to your argument, when there are a few Reals within the Spainish league.
If it's so 'obvious' then that point has no 'obvious' merit.
One school of thought is that the media mafia don't like the chairman who authorised Bales signing as it indirectly led to a few local favourites being sold on. Not his fault but guilty by association.
