One of the poorest referring ive seen this season in that game, he really should be demoted, your guess is as good as mine

Here is the video to this incident. The ref was a completely muppet to book him. Can we appeal against a yellow card?

Sadly you cannot appeal against Yellow cards which is a farce in itself.

It was never a booking. Very poor decision.

The ref was punishing me for leaving Giroud in my FF team

I observed that many fouls against Giroud werent punished by the refs because the guy is so strong and tall.

There was another incident yesterday that went against him when the defender grabbed his neg and pushed him.

In other games the refs tend to defend to give decisions against him and favour the defender. This has to stop.

I don't think we can Gunnerthru. Only if he means he misses the next game like a red card.

I am still waiting on why he stopped the game let alone booked him.

The goalie released the ball. Any player is allowed to attack the ball when this happens. But Giroud had his back to the goalie anyway.

Gives Giroud a yellow but nothing for a 2 footed tackle on Sanchez....

also why was when a player had his hands around Girouds neck, which Giroud got a free kick against him...(and he was clear through)

Wasn't even in the box! Could understand if maybe he was just outside the 6 yard box and he kicked it against him. It's more the keepers stupid fault for hitting him! He's lucky it didn't bounce in, and if it did and we didn't have an idiot reffing then it would have counted.

he was 5-10 meters away

have you seen the clip he was 5 feet away at the most.

However, it was a cheap booking, its like a player at a free kick hitting it off the opposition player standing in front of the ball to stop a quick one being taken.

It is a booking but a bit cheap and underhanded.

Although I dont think the keeper tried to cannon it off him in this case. I dont think this was even a free kick.

5 - 10 metres?!
Are you a type a person who over-exagerates about the size of your manhood?!

He was 2-3 metres away and looking at the path of the goalkeeper out the corner of his eye. He turned away a split second before the ball was kicked and claimed innocence over the whole thing.

He knew what he was doing.

To be fair, it wasn't a booking for me but to say you're allowed to challenge for the ball once the keeper releases it is wrong. You are not allowed to challenge the keeper as he is kicking it from hand and it is an offence punishable by a yellow card.

In this case I don't think Giroud was challenging him but he was still trying to impede his kicking by running in his path.

There is no explanation, the referee was biased against us all day. If anyone claims he wasnt then they are utterly deluded. Strong words but true

Ridiculous decision. Ulloa in the meantime can kick Ospinas wrist and does not get booked.

Because he's French?
