Got a 20 team to score 1 goal accy for 29/1. Had Ipswich to get 2 goals though as 1/6 is a dam site better than 1/60

Generally speaking, there’s a massive difference between the amount of teams that score once, compared to how often they get 2+. Ipswich have played 4 league games, scored 2 goals twice and only 1 goal in the other 2. So obviously, that’s 50% win rate with your bet, evens. 1/6 doesn’t seem such good value!

By value, I mean risk. 1/6 for Ipswich to score 2+ goals is terrible odds when they’ve only achieved it in 50% of their games so far. Looking at the odds for their games today, they’ll probably get them. But that doesn’t mean it represents value.

Tennis is a good example of this. Look how many players with odds of 1/3 or less lose. It’s a far higher amount than it should be. The bookies set the trap by setting the odds lower than they should be, luring the customer into thinking it can’t lose because the odds are so low.....

I know! I’m just trying to show a different perspective, using a different mindset to see through it. Just because a bookie sets the odds at 1/5 doesn’t mean it’s a genuine 1/5 favourite.

Ipswich are playing Bolton though, Bolton as in average age of 19, they conceded 5 against Tranmere who are poor.

Bolton also drew 0-0 home to Coventry who are currently 3rd...... I’m sure they will get 2+ but I was just making a point of being wary of taking odds at face value.

Knew Ipswich would struggle with the goals today 😳

Stuck £10 on Southampton 2-0 FT at HT at 7/1. Gave slip to my nephew to keep an eye on, so he is well pleased.

Won my first accumulator for the season after the first two were so close. Had Palace in it and took him out after my brother put me off them. Went with West Ham instead. Bloody would have had four times my win at least.
