Sounds like he is on the right path saan and more importantly a path that he has invested interest in not just in a professional capacity but a personal one too.

I respect the men and women serving tremendously and if that is what your boy wants then I can only applaud him. As far as the old bill goes, I'd say going through university is the wisest route. I've known people that have started from the bottom in the force and they have struggled to progress.

He sounds like a good boy. I'd hate to be a child growing up in this day and age as it's so easy to fall into the wrong crowd or get caught up in nonsense which makes you look cool with your new mates, then those 'mates' disappear when it all hits the fan and someone has to take the rap for something. I wish I'd had known what I wanted to do as a child and worked towards it earlier in life.
