So their response to Stan Collymore's idea about taking them off air until they stop singing sectarian hatred is to increase it- and to call him a black feenyan b@stard.

Kevin McKenna (sp) was on the tele before the OF game.

He made a point about Rangers and Celtic drawing sections of their support from some of the most deprived areas in Scotland.

Footy is mainly supported by the hard-working class people of any country.

It's relative accessibility to play and watch can mean we draw support from a part of society who have the hardest lives.

Shouting, singing and abusing opposing fans can give some people an outlet for the tension and stress built up during a working week.

I'm not sure that docking the football club points will tackle the route causes of the issues. It may cause some to think again and maybe be effective in the longer term.

I guess some of the people who act like that at a footy match may not give two fooks whether they're lifted or not

Shove "political expression" or any other expression up their collective erses.

Stuff like that at football is sung to get a reaction.

Our governing body will do the usual and just ignore it. Despite there being concrete evidence.

Do you really think docking the club points will get them to stop singing?

What was some Celtic fans' response when the club got fined by UEFA?

It will help. There isn't one single thing we can do to stamp this out. The majority of the responsibility lies with the police doing there jobs. Docking points will make the 90mins bigots stop though and will help promote a good image for our game. Right now it looks like the sfa condone this nonsense.

Agree it would help.

Potentially it would drive a smaller more extreme reaction in a defiant section of support.

It may just succeed in removing it from the Stadia - which may be good enough.

That may just shift the vitriol to the local boxers though...
