If you cant beat the first man whos to blame they must work in Training but dont come off Vardy seemed to be the best corner taker i have seen this season
We(man city)have had 229 consecutive corners without scoring from one
Delivery has got better over the last season, it's just all our defenders are hopeless at attacking the ball.
I can remember about 4-5 clear cut chances that Was or Wes have had and just skied them over the bar.
So, if I was to put it down to one thing I'd say that.
Do you think Huth will make a difference then Merseyside?
Can't understand why every taker struggles to beat the first man? We obviously have a plan to hit it flat and get a flick but after hundreds not working you'd think we'd come up with something else if only for variety? Look at the one Kermogant scored for Bournemouth last week, dragged to the edge of the box, dummied and curled in-we never even try things like that. WTF goes on at Belvoir Drive?
Yes, I do think Huth will make a difference as we may be more willing to try and whip it in more. No point in doing that if nobody can attack the ball.
That said, we've been pretty hopeless at corners for a long time so I don't expect it to change anytime soon!!!!
The reverse of this is.... We have conceded the highest amount of goals (13) from set pieces in the league.Take those away including Palace and where might we be?
It's cos all our central defenders are to small we must be the smallest team in the league by a mile.
Forget corners, a ref just gave Burney a point at Chelsea
